To transplant or not?

I've got a couple plants outdoors that are a few weeks into flowering, they are in 5 gallon buckets and seem to be maxed out. I'm watering every other day. Would it be beneficial at this point to transplant them or cut the bottoms of the buckets? I know that bigger roots means bigger plants and bigger buds but would it make a difference since they are already flowering?

I would think that the roots would have found their way out of the drainage holes
and into the ground if the buckets are maxed out. Has been my experience.

In any event If the roots have found their way through the drainage holes AND the
bucket isn't sitting outdoors on the ground, it might be a good idea to prepare a spot
to sit the buckets outdoors upon the soil by breaking up the ground a little, or dig a
little hole to sit the buckets inside of.

I guess you could get a larger container and fill it 2/3 full of your favorite mix and
sit the bucket in the new container and finish filling in around the bucket.
Don't really see any need to transplant or cut the bottom out of the buckets.

Post up some pictures though, a picture is worth a thousand words...
I am only advising from what I have seen personally.
Your situation may be totally different.
