having several outside grows,I have always topped my plants. problem with that is they always want to split when they get heavy with buds. Do you think that it helps with the yeild to top or not
If the plants are young enough you can still top them. They will grow strong enough not to split if they're topped early in life. I would also super crop them once they get about 1m tall. Best way to keep the branches from splitting is to tie each other together with garden string once they start budding out.
I agree with SmokerTheBear ,super cropping works better than topping because my brother did an experiment on this with 2 diferent strains and the yield was with 25% bigger
