TO Top or not to top ?? Tall plants !!!

Ok so i have always topped-- as my plants get to 12 ft after being topped 3-4 times ,I never tryed not topping as i am afraid of them getting to tall !! i have netting at 12 ft & don't want them to touch as iv gotten those bud worms bad -before i had netting ! I see other large plant growers that don't top but there plants & they don't get much bigger than 12-13 ft (i think) ,, Any ideas ? ANYBODY ! Thanks in advance !!

They top themselves after so tall. If you want the largest plant possible I think not topping is best

What kind of netting do you use to prevent caterpillars??

The "netting" is called BT, start spraying when you see those things crawling around as tiny caterpillars. Those tiny ones get massive and can eat up some large flowers quick and at the very least shit all over everything causing botrytis

I use industrail netting ov6200 1/8th inch covering everything all top & sides ,, 97-99% free of any worms !!

It doesn't seem to block sun at all eather !!!
