it pains me to have to tell others of this. but last year around january he was diagnosed with cancer. Nut Midline Carcinoma, is what they diagnosed it as after he passed in july last year. i knew him and his girlfriend. we hung out on an almost regular basis. hewas a more than amazing friend. he actually turned me on to these forums. i just thought i would let those who he knew and knew him know about his passing. eric i'm tokin one for you man. i'll see you when i get there man.

****ing sad day for me today

I got to know Raven from icmag chat, and we became friends quick because of our similar love of guitars and heavy metal ... he actually sent me a microphone to use for recording my guitar amp, about 5+ years ago now, it was second hand but in perfect condition and worth over $500 brand new, and he paid for the postage too (cant've been cheap because it was quite heavy! not to mention sending halfway around the world!) ...

He'd never even met me - if he tried to dig to China he'd end up in my backyard, but he didn't give a shit about that or the expense it'd cost him, he just wanted to make a friend happy. I never asked for the microphone, he just insisted I have it because he KNEW I'd love it (correct!) ... and that's Raven - he'd be happy if you were happy.

Rest in peace bro ... keep on moshing on upstairs mate, and I thankyou for your friendship. You won't be forgotten bro... make sure there's an axe properly strung in drop-D for me when I join you ok
