Tips curling downward.

The tips of the leaves on a few of my girls in bloom are curled downward. No discoloration or browning, just curling.

Any suggestions? Photos available upon request.

How far into bloom are they? It could really be a range of things... First off, are you noticing this right after the lights come on? Plants naturally drop their leaves during lights out and spring back up within an hour of the lights turning on.

Other possible reasons for the downward curl are over-watering and giving them too much nitrogen. If it's only the tips pointing downward b/t a 45-90 degree angle, I'd bet on it being nitrogen toxicity. It's hard to pinpoint which it is without pics. Hope you can get some up brother...

Hi TG,
which nutes do you use and at which dosages?, too much Nitrogen/over-feeding will cause this but you said the tips of the leaves aren't burned?,
then it could be the humidity in the grow room is too low, certain pheno's of certain strains can be very prone to this when humidity is too low, especially haze's, sativa's, sativa/haze hybrids,
over watering can cause this as well (letting too much water pass through the container) but the whole leaves would droop down as well as the tips so i don't think it'll be because of this, is it possible to upload a pic man?

peace

Here's a couple.

A picture of the whole garden will be going in the link on my signature if anyone would like to see the progress. :)

I think I'm overwatering, humidity is 28% - 30%

After a couple days of easing up on the watering, I'm fairly positive it is not overwatering. Either that, or it's very mild overwatering. I'm thinking it may be nitrogen toxicity, based on the comments above.

So, anyone got pictures of nitrogen toxicity for comparison?

thats too much nitrogen, back it down a bit.

Should I flush or just go straight water, maybe compost tea, until it's back to full health? The leaves are starting to curl inward and droop more, so it's definitely getting worse, albeit slowly.

My plants looked just like urs a week ago, if u told me that was a pic of my plant I would believe u. I cut Nitrogen completely 3 weeks ago and just recently they aborted the dark green and are sitting pretty, although it took the leaves a long time to recover, I noticed a bud growth spurt within a few days of cutting N. I recomend still feeding P, K and micro nutes since u are flowering, otherwise u will be setting yourself up for more probs. Plus there is no reason to lose more vigor over this. N leaches out of the medium easily so the plant has no trouble taking it in fast and it will store the shit out of it. Especially if u were overwatering for a bit, I was also and the roots werent in the best shape, maybe thats y they took so long.

I think I'll just do what Jorge Cervantes recommends and flush the soil with 5-6 gallons of clean water. After it airs out I should be fine. No sense prolonging something that can be fixed overnight, right?
