Tiny red bugs, what?

Hello, I'm doing a simple 4 plant grow and we're nearing harvest time, but I went in with the pocket scope today and saw these tiny, distinctly red bugs with a thick, amost circular body and some angry looking appendages. I don't know if I would call it an infestation; just looking around I couldn't find them on all the buds, and I only saw one or two per bud.
I didn't see anything particularly like this in the main infirmary thread, has anyone come across any little red bugs?
And given i'll be chopping them down in a week or so, should I just let them chill? There's no appearant damage (from bugs anyway; had some vicious light burn before i got my ventilation squared away).

Sorry no pics, but they would just be a tiny red dot anyway. The color makes them nice and easy to find, and i could probably wrangle a gang of them up with tweezers, for that matter

Yea I've had white mites, but I always see the bright red ones outside on rocks never on plants. I did a little google search and seems the one I am talking about (red velvete mite) is a carnivore and eats eggs larvae and arthropods in soil. Theres also other kids that feed on plants that are red.

The No-Pest strips are only for use in spaces that won't be occupied for a minimum of three months. They might take out pets and humans along with the spider mites, so you might want to steer clear of those if you value your health.

I was able to manage (not completely eradicate) a recent spider mite problem with a pyrethrin-based spray insecticide called Don't Bug Me. Foxfarm manufactures the stuff.

hes a week from harvest, so i wouldnt recommend spraying your buds, get a thing of lady bugs from the pet store, let them chill in your room

You can smoke mites, they won't hurt you. I had spider mites on my first grow, they went away when I cleared out the closet of all plants/dirt for a month or so and have been gone since. Their life cycle is fragile and needs food to perpetuate.
