Tincture Dosing for Hard Candy Recipe

3 1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 tsp VG flavoring
1/8 tsp coloring

Based on this recipe and cooking out the syrup to 300 degrees fahernheit and letting cool to 265 before adding a VG tincture and matching VG flavoring, per the instructions from the manufacturer, how much VG tincture would you suggest as a starting measurement to add for this batch? The molds I'm thinking of using will compliment this recipe and make about 100 candies per batch. Thanks for all opinions in advance, all!

Well since no one has posted to this thread, I just went ahead on and used 1 tablespoon of tincture in this recipe. Tastes great and certainly feels like it's doing something to me. I'll post photos later on tonight.

when i make hard candy i mix up some tincture with Ever-clear 190 proof Grain Alcohol and let that sit for while while it evaporates.. Weed to Alcohol is all on how strong you want to make it.

then i make my candy recipe like everyone else and for flavoring i use Koolaid packets.
Just one mixed into some water. (about a shot glass worth of water to dissolve all the koolaid) once you candy is brittle when dropped into water or reached your desired temps.. let it start to cool.. mix in the flavoring and then the tinctures as it cools down.. Pour it out and let it cool. then i shatter it into chunks.. the best flavor i think is Pink Lemon-aid Koolaid.. My candy's taste like Iced Tea with Lemonaid.

Ethanol tinctures can be as concentrated as you want. I haven't had an ultra potent VG tincture, but I'm sure they're out there.

The right answer to "how much" depends on your tolerance and the strength of the tincture. There's no one answer that will work for everyone.
