Timer failed!!!Question.

Ok I switched out my 400 ballast for a 600 240 volt one. The timer worked for one cycle then stoped working. I am not sure the lights came on last night at all. I noticed the proplem when there was 2 hrs left in the lights on period so I messed with it and got it to work. It shut the lights off on time.

I have gotten a new timer. Will the lights being off for 21hrs then on for 3 hurt my ladies. They are about 40 days into flowering. Also could I open then door now and change out the timer or should I wait for the normal time lights should come on?

I screw up 2-3 times a grow. Life happens. Spread out, such glitches produce no trouble. Screwing it daily is where the trouble starts. Wait for "sunrise" to install the new timer.

Digital timer? I've had 2 of those bastards mess up on me and just start turning things on and off when ever it felt like it.

Get yourself an Intermatic 240v Heavy Duty timer and save yourself a house fire.

They're around $50 and worth every penny. Hardware stores generally carry them. They're for putting high voltage appliances like electric water heaters and HID lighting on timers. :yoinks:

If I don't have a timer, I do it manually. No reason to burn down my house with a $20 timer. :(

I do have that timer. Something malfunctioned with the timer is all. I was worried about the affect the 21 hrs of darkness and 3 hrs of light, then 12hrs of darkness then back to 12/12 would have on my ladies.

So I have nothing to worry about then all is good. Thanks all.
