Time from seed to sex ID ? some for outdoor, some cuttings.

Havent grown for a while, and my memory's not so good anymore.



I just put some seeds under lights today, and plan to put some of them out in the sun here in the tropics (19 N) as soon as I can ID the females, and put one or two back on 18/6 to get cuttings.
How long should I veg them from seed before changing to 12/12 ,
with these two goals ?

About six weeks for a cannabis plant to reach sexual maturity.

You just have to keep them under 18/6 until they show a ball or a pistil, it takes around 5/6 weeks sometimes faster.

I've seen plants show as early as 5 weeks & as late as 12 weeks. I think the really late ones were under 24hrs of light.

Thanks to all . I found some detailed info on pre flower identification, under a search for ' sexing'. Didnt know it was called that.

My gut feeling is that 24 hrs is not good. Will stick to 18/6.
Old seeds- 7 days and none of 12 up yet - waiting patiently.....

Only got 3 seedlings out of 12 old, classic seeds.
If I get one good flowering plant I'm happy.
