Just picked up one of the final pieces my light and as exited as I am I noticed the outer bars are really fat anyway I framed the poles for the tent ( ac infinity ) and it won’t fit , the light will be poking outwards the canvas …. Is this normal should I be concerned was super stoked now I’m on a mega down 😫😫😫

Not sure I understand. Your light won't fit in your tent? Well, I guess you need a bigger tent.. :D

Ok a photo of the lamp in the tent would have helped more. I still don't see what's wrong. If the tent really is too small then you should have informed yourself before the buy about the size of the tent and the lamp. Now what do you want to hear from us? If you can't close the tent or are afraid of getting heat problems then get a bigger tent. So simple.

Lol just wondering if anyone has had issues with lights poking against the Canvas if it’s common

May re arrange the living room for a 5x5 worst case

If the lamp doesn't get too hot on the edges where it touches the tent then it shouldn't be too big of a problem. Air needs to be able to circulate in the tent. Just mount it and check hourly for heat spots for the rest of the day to avoid burning anything. Apart from that I don't see any bigger issues.

Most tend to stretch a little. But not the poles. How wide is tent supposed to be and how long is light supposed to be ? Poking against canvas happens with some of the components. . Like I have a fan that the bracket is tight to fit .

I think u should be ok as the lamp will sit a few inches below the bars .

Assemble it if possible , and take pictures

What I was telling myself exactly, over here due to an old employer we have soaring highs and lows …….

Took a 24 hrs mental note and will be assembling it soon after my coffee

Tents tend it be square, but lights a little off. If it's only touching two sides, think about which. If it's the actual sides, will it effect the zips operation? Could you let to touch the back and front instead, and just not zip up fully? I quite like a drape over tents, rather than constant zip use.
Stressing the tent could lead to pin-holes at the seam stitching. The blanket idea could be good for you. The negative pressure tends to hold them tight to gaps. Blanket or blackout blind. Though you might need a darkened room at lights out.

Edit: A 140x140 is a third more area than a 120x120
a 150x150 is an 8th bigger than a 140x140

Difficult thread to consider, when it's all about sizes, but non are given

The mounting system for most tents and lights suck. Someone needs to come up with a mounting system that will easy allow close to the ceiling mounting.

Someone else here put a ventilated partition between the light and the rest of the tent and it really eloped with the temps.

A proper tent would have some sort of cooling sink in an area partitioned off above the light.

If you grow through nets, the top one can hold a sheet of polythene while plants are small and not making a lot of moisture. I'm not sure the manufacturers are quite there yet, looking at the tent sized elasticated nets they sell. However, holding some polythene might be a use for such nets. They do, after all, deserve a use finding for them.

I have not seen if you can buy spare roof bars. I have put the 4 supplied, around the edges. Then used them as tracks to support my own bars and broom handles. Which can then go just about anywhere.
