As per; Soma; to avoid any early stunting from micro root damage (as the roots tear away from the paper towel) - these were soaked in distilled water for 24 hours to sink / they then went straight into the medium;

Started under flors in clear 1qt (wallmart paint buckets) pots /



Pro-Mix - Perlite - Worm Castings

I use GH's pH down & run @ 6.0


I will be using Advance Nutrients; Iguana Grow/Bloom - B52/Fulvic for folar feeding - Big Bud/Overdrive - water flush -

Nice start fredster...I just had a 100% germination 16/16 using this method too.

what percent of your soil mix is worm castings?

BP - in my 1 qt starter pots I used a 1/3 perlite - 3 soil to 1 worm castings

Notice also; I start with my pots not filled to the top / this way I cover the first/early stretch with my medium giving it better early support​

I am using a Kodak CX7430 = $150.00 http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Kodak/kodak_cx7430.asp- - for an around the house cam & small events & the price I paid - so far I really like it / as a travel cam – how ever I think I would still want one of the newer ultra compacts

I hit them hard the first week with a fan - I want my plants to work = i.e. I don't want a lazy plant - so the first 7-14 days I keep sticks on them while they are still yet babies digging roots.

They are scheduled for toping once & 6-7 weeks of veg. & enter the flower room along with the Kusage

It's my plan to up-date every Fri. - feel free to ask question

Today is day 14 - I lost 1 / they are the 9 on the right - - all look good & healthy - have not been fed any-thing as of yet / (thats the 9 Kusage beside them)

Looking great Fred, excellent choice of strains you have on the go and a great thread to accompany them. I especially want to grow out the Sensi star since the cup, loved it and no doubt will give it a run in the near future (so many to try).

When you germed them by soakin them in distilled water for 24 hours, did you put them under a light or anything? and... after the 24 hours, did the seeds look any different then they did going into the water? I think I'll give this a try on my next germ.

i too have always wondered about soaking seeds over night. some people dont, and some do. hell ive seen people soak them in tea and put them in the fridge!
