Thunder Vertigro Air Cooled Reflector 6" - Experiences? -

Hey,

Anyone have experience with this reflector, seems to be a great value and perfect size for a 4X4X7 tent; certainly better than the OG or Luxor for my given parameters.

Convincing myself It's a smart purchase. Althought, concerns being the integrity of the seal (producing diesel genetics), but I cannot think of much beyond that. Can't imagine the reflective material, wiring, and socket can vary much between providers, likely sourced from similar manufacturers.

Also, viewing the designs for the specific product and reputation of the seller I am quite confident the unit is legitimate.

What interests me also is that the unit offers an option for 6" ducting, so I won't have to purchase reducers and use more space.

Any initial concerns? Seems to be a relatively new release, my posting is on the second page of google when searching for reviews...

I know not many have used this specific piece of equipment...but could someone with some knowledge of reflectors please provide some information?

There must be something I'm not aware of, because this is a great value relative to the other vertical reflectors on the market.

Not sure where you are, but I've bought similar reflectors from a store for $135, so price seems about right. Didn't see dimensions of reflector, and not familiar w brand, but looks ok.
Wrong socket for mh bulbs tho. Hps only.

Good to know about the bulbs, that's the information I'm looking for.

Like I mentioned earlier, can't imagine the material they use is different than the OG or Luxor, but if it is, I would also like to know that, because I'm willing to spend more.

I recently read the thread regarding OG reflectors and the intense hot spot emitted from them, and am curious as to if this relfector would create the same?

What are peoples experiences with vertically oriented reflectors? I hear many speaking of horizontal lamps allowing the most intense illumination from the arc tube, but question if there are gains to be had from the improved distribution of the light and bud development (although members have spoke poorly of OG's distribution, and this design is similar).

Just noticed this reflector is manufactured with EU aluminum, so inferior reflective material.

Looking at it, it looks like a pretty decent piece. I can't tell you if it's good or bad but I can tell you most of the current crop of products coming from China are pretty solid, well built designs stolen from the finest designers in the world. Almost every hood comes from China regardless of the brand (I know there are exceptions).

Look at growers house dot com in AZ or horticulture source dot com for prices on the name brand stuff that is close to the knock offs.
