HELLO!

Welcome to my 1st grow ever!~

Im really new to this growing thing never tried it before but ive been lurking on these boards for awhile weighing out my option of whether to go hydro or soil... and well guess what i chose?!

My plants are an unknown bagseed i picked up from one of my fellow grow friends....

Im growing with 3 26w CFL bulbs for my mother plant as well as 2 50w T-5 Floro tube lights.

They are on a 24 hour light schedule due to the fact... well my electricity is cheap as shit! and im using just miracle grow ferts seeing as how i hear during harvest miracle grow ferts give u a better tasting bud

My mother is about 1 1/2 months into veg... but im not completely sure cuz somehow along the road i misplaced my journal of when i started my grow so just bare with me she definitely sporting some sativa traits such as the long thin slender fan leaves and lack of bushiness id say shes 100% SATIVA BABY!

*I also have 7 other plants in veg at the moment... but unfortunately since im working with bagseed i havent been able to sex these babies yet but they look promising!

2 of them are looking kinda scrawny maybe sick possible deficiency idk but maybe stich can bless my thread with a little wisdom... but anyways stay tuned i will be updating quite a bit seeing as how im addicted to ICmag... never had the chance to visit OG or any of those other site.

Hi there thug/newbie, this may discourage you slightly, but to be honest, you can get everything spot on and still end up with quite a poor harvest of small airy buds using so little light to flower with. So long as you only see this grow as the starting point so that you can get your techniques / timing right, then it will be the start of an obsession, but if you are looking to emulate the pics you see here with your current set up, then you may end up giving up quickly thinking that you are doing something wrong. Just don't want you giving up due to insufficient light.

Thanks for the advice! i know these are just my veg lights for plant growth i have a 400w HPS system as well but i dont really have anything to put into flower right now as my smaller plants arent ready yet and i havent decided whether i will be flowering my mother within the next month or so....

But definitely stick around this should be pretty exciting...

Well ive decided to set up my 400w HPS after recieving advice that it would be wise to use those whether i was flowering or not... dont worry i have a Ultimate system i bought on ebay and it uses both MH & HPS.

Personally, I wouldn't be feeding such young plants in soil, as the soil has the nutes they need to grow, esp if transplanting them when they need it.

looks great man. straight water for 2 weeks then start at 1/2 dose shit 1/4 dose to be careful. but overall looks good man keep it green.

looking nice for 1st gorw. Will be checking in . Good choice on light use. dual set ups are nice. No replacement for diplacement is what they say for HP in the car world. Same thing here. Gotta get those lumens for phatty nugs and a good amount of em. GL and be safe

Looks good man! Great job and hopefully youll get some killer smoke. Do you know what type of buds you got the seeds from. So far so good and the 400watt switchable is great you could even throw in a CMH bulb I belive. You cant quote me on that but theres a great link in the site just type in CMH. Anyways great job man looks good and pray for killer genetics.

I love the setup, looks easy. I love the K.I.S.S. rule of growing. My first grow was organic, bagseed probably similar to yours.Easybakeindica proves you don't have to be rich to do it right with his thread, mostly fully organic. I saw you surfing around there recently.I did it this way, I loved it. Fish emulsion, ashes, dolomite lime, whatever. It worked. The best tasting bud, even though some MG stuff was sorta fruity (probably just the chemicals). I would take organic any day. This was a completely undialed in tube grow with 4 tubes of 40 watts. Talk about lame, organic still made it taste the bomb. Always remember its never too late to smoke organic. You will like it.

Excel: Yea i wish i could go all organic but if i said i was i'd be lying... but hopefully i can stay as close to organic as possible. Yea i was surfing that thread cuz i saw the T-5 lighting he had on the walls i was thinking of doing this and tryna figure out what structure would work best for my grow space. And about what type or bagseed... HONESTLY IDK! but seeing as how most of my plants lean towards SATIVA traits i can only guess. But as for my Fav#1 its definitely INDICA or a mixture of the two... but im sure someone has a clue. Hang around k

Bigtimer7: yea it was pretty nice knowing i only need one ballast that can power both lights... CMH ive never heard of it im gonna research some info on that tho thanks for the advice. Any and all words of advice are appreciated. Hope you stick around.
