Through with PBP and Cal Mag

RO water, PBP at 15/gal, Cal mag at 5ml/gal. PH consistent between 5.8 and 6.1. Resevoir temp at 21C, Room temp at 78F. PPM usually between 900 and 1000. Recirculating water farm setup.

I dont know how many times I've run into this same issue around day 30-40 flower. Right now is day 37 I think.

I drained entire system this morning and am currently flushing with half RO and half tap water.

Not sure what the next step is to be, but I'm real tempted to switch to GH flora series and Lucas formula.

Any help is very much appreciated. I am certain that this problem is related to one or more of these factors: the RO water, cal mag, PBP bloom.

Thanks!

As an organic gardener I don't want to steer you away from an organic friendly nutrient but honestly if I where growing in a system like your I would use a Lucas/Ph formula.
PBPro works best in coco and soil, it's more expensive in a setup like your also.
You should be using LiquidKarma when running PBPro, also which flowering nute are you using? they have one for soil and regualr bloom?

PS: Notice that the soil plants are completely unaffected. With these plants I only use tap water and pure blend pro bloom (soil version)

yeah regular bloom in hydro and bloom for soil for coco or soil, try the LK it's off the chart good and the ONLY bottled fert I still use.

BTW 900ppm is a little low, I ran at about 1100 with ph at 5.4, they look healthy but hungry, yellow leaves and purple stems...

maybe they hungry because your not using the dosage the label recommends?

Bump it up to like 25ml-30ml a gallon over the next week and you should be fine.

I run 10ml/g for clones, 30ml/g for all other plants.

ph meter is working properly? how frequent you change the rez?

As the other poster asked, what is the perceived problem exactly? I don't see anything wrong.

Yellowing fan leaves like that on a flowering plant is 100% normal. If you don't want the yellowing than you need to add more N or a grow nute, but I don't recommend it. Excess N prolongs finishing and tastes bleh in the weed when smoked.

Judging by the mild to non-existent tip burn you are on the low side of fert dosage and could increase a little if you wished.

Use more nutes...

Use more nutes...

Had the same problem using Earth Juice on my last grow. They would stay green until the second week of flower and then turn yellow. Switched over to PBP and Liquid Karma at full strength and they turned healthy again. Im thinking the problem was that I wasnt using a strong enough dosage of the Earth Juice and the plants were starving, hence the yellowing early in flower!

They should get a extra dose of N for 12/12 changeover, that's when they stretch and use up N and yellow. You don't want your plants green at harvest.

When I gre with PBPro I mixed the grow and regular bloom half and half for the first 3 weeks.

I have the same issue with BioBizz nutes ansd it took a crop or two to dial it in. First time I used BB, I cut off the grow altogether during bloom which was wrong because the grow has all the Potassium and my crop ended up deficient in K. K def pot does not burn well in a joint or bowl, the K burns hot and is what keeps the heater/cherry going.

Suby's got the idea. Next time I am gonna give double gro a week before switchover, 50/50 for a week or two after 12/12.

Well K def won't be a problem with PBPro, it's always seemed high in K but has proven itself many times to me.
That pretty purple color I liked as a newb came at a price...

I feed the grow formula for the first week of flower and then 50/50 until I see flowers, then I use straight bloom formula. Nice to see I am not the only one!
