i had some trips on a plant , that has been outside. i am just about to start my indoor grow box, and i dont want ti infested with thrips. i think they've pretty much gone, i used tobacco juice, but i dont know how long to wait till i know for sure. prob is, the nights are drawing in, and the plant is starting to flower. i would rather veg it a bit longer. any ideas?

use neem oil if you can, 4 times in 2 weeks, they'll be gone for sure
if you have access only to tobbaco tea then use it in a 2 days period for 1-2 weeks, be sure to wash your plants with plain water a day after applying neem or something

indoor you should NOT have:
high temps
high humidty
stale air

if that is put in an account you'll see thrips every now and then(and u can treat them with neem if their numbers rise), but they are a reality, you can't get 100% rid off them 'cause they live everywhere around u

put the plants inside and treat them a few more times with that tobacco juice, try to get neem later

good luck

I use Hot Shot no pest strips as a precaution, but thirps larve go into the soil? Maybe I'm wrong? I'll go check my notes...

the leader, as far as i saw i think that those little bitches hatch in the soil, then come out and suck on the leaves, that's why u see them crawling on the top of the soil, on the branches, everywhere
soil treatment is not needed here, at least i never had to

Thrips are a piece of cake to get rid of. Just about any spray will kill anything on the leaves but yes some my fly about. I've dealt with thrips 4 times this year in 2 different locations...don't ask. One time I just said fuc.k it and they died off. They do need a life cycle in the soil, for the most part, but some can finish that cycle on the leaves themselves without having to go through the soil cycle. Don't worry about thrips. Just start a regular treatment program and they are no problem. When I see a thrip indoors now I just yawn.

Hang Vapona No Pest Strips in your growroom every 6-8 feet and within one week your thrips will be dead and every other pest.

Won't even take a week to kill thrips with those things. Your recommendation of 1 every 6-8 feet is solid .
