Thrips...few days before harvesting

i am under the attack of the terriblethrips' troops , i notice them just few days before to harvest

i have few questions for the experts :

i read the best to use is spinosad...but is it safe to use it in the really last days ?

what Thrips can damage ? just leaves ? i should not use in this case..right? (for trim or others)

do they attack also the BUD (?), and do they change the taste of them...or even make them rot ???

is it UNSAFE/TOXIC to inhale them with a Vaporizer ?

Please suggest me a remedy and give me a little chance to not throw the plants directly in the garbage.

here the pics

Spinosad is the best, but a few days before harvest there is nothing to do. If you are in soil you can use rove beetles, hypoaspis miles, and nematodes in your soil to keep them down. Also a weekly neem/soap/essentail oil spray can keep anything off the leaves. Only use the soap up to the 2nd week of flower though.

I have used biodegradable potassium soap all the way to the last week of flower to keep the thrip population down. Is it really that bad? I spray the soil, the pots, the walls the leafs, and some gets on the buds I suppose. I always thought it was ok to do...
Now I have read this I will first spray plant with just water for the last weeks to clean off the soap. And spray the soil, the pot and walls with potassium soap after the thrips have ran from the water, as they normally fly off to hide on the walls.. If I didn't spray after week 2 of flower I think they would infest and destroy

I was asking if it was really so bad to use potassium soap later in flower.
If you only have a couple of days, or a week then I would just leave them to finish.
I only use the potassium soap because I don't have access to spinosad..
I have never tried spraying with water for the last week, I got that Idea just now when someone said it's not a good idea to spray with soap after the 2nd week of flower, and I've been spraying with potassium soap all the way to week 6, and every 2 days.. I can let you know in the future if it fucked the crop up or not, but it looks and smells good...

I would need to see some proof that Potassium Salts of Fatty Acids [insecticide soap] causes any harm to anything other than insects/mites, or getting it into the human eye. If you do a root drench, it will possibly burn the roots. I'm sure it's OK to spray on foliage till a few days before harvest. I've never seen anything in the same vein as to OP said about not using it after 2nd week of flower. If you want you can spray with plain water the next day to rinse off the soap. "Read and follow label instructions."

Spinosad can be used very close to harvest [check label]. If I were to use it in the last month, I'd just do a soil drench for thrips. It kills the stage of thrips that spend their time underground, interrupting the life cycle before maturity. Good luck. -granger

i consider that soap quite safe..also for my eye, but i could be wrong

did u use few days before harvest?

the problem (for me at least) it is that i think it is better not to use any water on buds (but i could be wrong again) ...if i use the soap on the leaves, some drop can go on buds...and more ...i have so few leaves now bcz i cutted the yellow and dried ones..i have few leaves just around the bud and if i have to soap in that area some drops can jump on the buds...and i would like to avoid it (unless someone explain me the opposite)

while i was waiting for icmag answers i drench the top of the soil with macerated garlic and chili..bcz i read somewhere that it helps to win over Thrips (to interrupt the cycle life as u said)..but now there is that BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD smell all around :)

Spray the plants with spinosad now. Go heavy on leaves, light on flowers. Let them mature as much as you dare. Smoke it with pleasure.

you ever smoke Mexican dirty swag? if so.. u smoked way worse then thrips lol and chemicals lol.. so I wouldn't spray shit on flowering plants. just bring to harvest..

and spray and clean the room and veg plants... they only eat leaves.. and only cause lots of stress and shit in huge numbers.
