she was loved by so many people.
i remember watching all in the family when it started.
it went on for years.
then when i saw her cast in a different role many years later
it was hard for me to not accept her as any other personality than the *dingbat* edith bunker

what a long full life she lived

Great actress. She made my childhood with "All in the Family". Great classic and real look at a specific slice of America. You don't here those mildly-Irish 2nd generation accents like Archie Bunker any more.

sigh, as I get older I find the reality of my youth nothing more than childhood memories and in a way it makes me feel as if I to am fading away.

To go back for one day, just for a taste of it again.
