This Phil Lesh show...

I saw Phil and Friends with Trey a couple of summers ago, and it was a GREAT show. Joan Osbourne opened and did a few songs with all of them, and I gotta say, I was super impressed with her pipes. I was tripping pretty hard though, and when I realized that the broad onstage singing was the "what if god was one of us" girl, her head acid-morphed into Dr. Evil, and she proceeded to sing the rest of that song with him for a head. Pretty sweet/funny actually.

Oh yeah, my point was I agree that those dudes can really get something special going....

Hey Token! was up? Coincidentally, I saw "the Dead" 3 New Years eves ago at Oakland it was really good but without Jerry its just not complete. Joan Osborne was with them there as well. Just might mention I saw Santana and the Dead New years 1977 Cow palace SF. Seems like yesterday sometimes. Loved it! I saw some great shows in the 70s These archives ROCK!

I wish I was alive in the 70's...

speaking of TGD...have any of you ever heard of the rhythm devils? it consisted of Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Mike Gordon, and Steve Kimock...the show I went to they had just brought in a female singer. was awesome! they played scarlet begonias >> fire on the mountain. danced my heart out :rasta:
