There is this fine Australian ale. Its widely popular in Aus but only few shops in the UK sell it and there is NO advertisement or endorsement of this beer here AT ALL.

I was thinking of running a distribution business, marketing this ale to UK public what do u think?

Importing beer from outside the EU is a paperwork nightmare thanks to Customs and Excise regulations , distributing through an existing importer is easier but unlikely to be profitable unless you already have good contacts within the restaurant or pub trade and can shift volume.

And if you succeed in creating a demand with a lot of hard work , a supermarket or an established importer/distributer or retail chain with lower costs will undercut you out of the market.

One of my sons imported a fine beer for his restaurant chain years ago direct from India , but it was not financially viable and abandoned after a few years , and he had a captive market.

Would the Australian beer in question be Hahn Red ?

No its Coopers:

All natural ingredients - ho hang over, even after 10 pints

I would probably take that same amount of time, and money, and run a 10 light setup. In the long run you will have way more money.

You also won't feel like a dick for poisoning people. :)

I've seen Coopers in a few places in Ireland. I imagine if its over here some supplier must have it in the UK?? Nice beer, bit on the pricey side though
