Actually somewhere around 1:10 in the video, the guy in the suit said the meter was bypassed. So guy shuts off electric, electric is still on in house. I think most people pulling meters would know motors winding down versus remaining on.

The ironic thing is, if they bypassed the meter, the bill was probably really small.

PG&E didnt rat anybody out. This is just some dumb growers

Big grows should be filtered 24/7

Actually they said nothing of stealing power.

Actually they said exactly that they were stealing power. The officer specifically stated that the meters had been bypassed. The fact that electricity continued to flow into a house with no electricity was the give-away.

this is why id always be paranoid to do more than a safe amount of wattage per bedroom ..something that is very normalish ..i heard 1000w/bedroom? maybe 700 or so to be safer?...seems like u are just praying for the electricity company to not rat though otherwise..

Did you read anything?? They didnt get busted due to high useage, they got busted because they were stealing. If you were stealing and running one 400W, you would probably be SOL

if someone stole from me, i would tell the cops as well. not the power company's fault someone was retarded. power consumption is the least of my concerns. if i could grow 10k watts worth of green and get rid of it, i would. but i dont think i would just want pounds sitting around my place going unused.

***KEY TO THIS THREAD: DONT BE A FUCKIN RETARD, DONT STEAL***

just because they see an increase in electricity usage that doesnt set off red flags unless it is like a spike of 3,000 watts being consumed daily..or whatever...an extra 1-2000 could be electric heaters, air conditioners, etc. why would they assume GROW LIGHTS FOR DRUGS

they are a business that wants to be paid for their product, simple as that. default clients and thieves will have problems no matter what. give them their money and they will be happy.
