Think Different: Need advice

For you auto growers that have grown or smoked think different, how is the potency? I know the yield is superb and they smell very good but is the high lacking?

I'm kind of pissed off now after doing a lot of research I always heard they were very potent and ordered 17 beans. Then I get on another forum and find nothing but bad reviews on the potency claiming they couldn't even give it away.

Over on af.net nothing but good reviews but when you get on a forum that is mostly photo growers then you start hearing bad things. I'm beginning to wonder if the good things I'm hearing is just coming from auto growers/smokers exclusively and not those who are experienced with photo period strains.

I chose this strain over cinderella 99 because I loved the reviews so much, now I'm the one thinking different after continuing research. All my friends and few customers are used to smoking good killer photo period strains, now watch me grow this out and waste a lot of time and energy for nothing good but high yields that will do nothing but sit there and sit there for ages.

Maybe I should shovel out another $250 bucks for some c99 beans and put the think differents back. I'm irritated, I need some help and advice. How was she in your experience with the those of you that have tried strong photos as well.

I've gotta get a grow started ASAP so I can keep and even flow for when I run out of this year's outdoor.

And if you have had any experience with WoS big bud X northern lights auto how does think different compare to her with yield and potency. Never grew it but have smoked it once and it messed me up pretty good with a strong narcotic high.

I haven't grown it, but know of it, and would happily give it a go in my grow space. If i was you I would grow it out, no online photo growers have good things to say about Auto's..

I grew a bunch of it!! That is why I am here now. Have found that clone only photo's are way to go. Double the potency of the best AF's, when grown right. I would not say I could not give it away, because I do. I think Zappa had an album - No Commercial Potential.

It produces well, looks beautiful, and tastes like hash from the 1970's.

I would recommend for people who want to take a break for a week or two, if smoking too much good weed, to bring tolerance back down.

GG4 takes less then 30 days of veg at 18 hour, and 60 day at 12 hours. Win/Win. Think different will produce 12 - 18 inch plants, GG4 about 72 inch, which should be spread vertically to maximize potential.

I apologize to AF growers. I am spoiled by the best the west has to offer. :tiphat:

To be able to judge one cut against another, you need a week with no THC.

Only difference I find between the autos and photos I smoke is the length of high is shorter with autos, and I struggle getting up for work more when I have been smoking photos. Its mainly cheese around here.

Sweet seeds/dinafem autos that is. I wouldn't grow autos over photos if I didn't have to, but I also wouldn't grow feminised seeds, I would do regular seeds

Thanks guys for letting me in on this info. If I don't start hearing more positive reviews about think different I'm gonna just put them back somewhere and run one tent with cinderella 99 and the other with grand daddy purple, two I've never tried before.

It's basically garbage. If you have no tolerance at all it probably does something for you. Otherwise pass.

So, yeah. It yields, that's all it has going for it.

Grew out over 20 outdoors. This was around 2012, so the line has definitely changed a bit since then. I wouldn't expect miracles though. I really hated it a lot.

If your friends are used to good photos they will hate you a lot for growing this.

Also it takes way longer to flower than advertised. As much as it yields, it does it in far too long a time frame to actually say it's a great yielding plant. It's just crap.

The more I see reviews of this strain smoked or grown has been a 'couple' or a 'few' years ago. I think that is the problem here. I know that autos have came a long long way even in the last couple of years. I have a friend whom grows strictly autos but he has never ran think different yet, everyone loves his smoke and never complains.

I also see that think different is the only auto flower I can find that's been reviewed or listed on leafly and even though there aren't very many reviews it is a high rated strain and they are definitely more recent reviews.

So I guess I need to change my question up a bit here. Has anyone grown out and smoked the newest or newer seed stock of this strain this year in 2015? If so how was it?

The only way you'll know is if you grow them yourself. They could have improved it, but I didn't see that much potential in it when I grew it.

"Google" for your answer. There are still very decent, potent autos out there, older genetics and newer strains.

Depends on your aim....sky rocket high, deep sofa cushion lock, excellent yield.

For numerous, fast turn around (not 100 days), the variety is a winner. Some can only grow in compact spaces. No messing with light schedules. Given a good medium, few amendments are needed....certainly less than photoperiod.Photos take considerably longer to grow/harvest, you can clone them.

I've had side-by-side (paper sack) comparisons of our strains....about 65-70% preferred our autos to photo period counterparts.....not quite 3/4's thumbs up, but close.

It's all in what you want to accomplish.

To each their own....

MtnBudz, Google newest autoflowers for info. There are numerous sites out there to give you information. Numerous have mentioned certain seed companies and we've tried them to compare. Some were decent, others lack luster. Yields/height are quite deceptive in most descriptions...have a few customers that can grow easily 5-6 oz. of one of our strains while others grew out same strain @ 9 gr.

Old standards such as Flash, Short Stuff, Kannabia still appeal to the masses, as do Sweet Seeds, Paradise, etc. Newer genetics...Mephisto, Auto Fem, produce a good product.

Everyone has a subjective view, so what may inspire some, only reveal mediocre response from others. Not all autoflowering strains of cannabis are created equal

Try a Think Different....get a single seed....grow for yourself....then you will know.

You just can't compare autos with photos, autos are for having some smoke early, although they are better than some commercial street weed :)

Maybe superautos are better in effect, don't know...

Think Different I had grown outdoor in a pot, great vigor and buds can be dense, so prone to mold... The high is a creative one when harvested early, could lead to a thing you are prone to master and launch your gift almost to maximum, but that peak effect lasts not long, like almost all of autos, they have more "residue" dirty bland narcotic effect... when harvested later it's more powerful narcotic, lasts longer but it's not so exciting I think like early harvested... that's the thing with autos it's all B grade weed, with that dominant residue effect of blandness that can take over after regular consume...

Photos are much more defined, mature and powerful in effect, and the effect is all that matters to me, all other things are just bonuses :D One of the best highs are from buds that look like crap, no cure needed black sativa-ish whimsy almost no odor buds, that is stuff that creeps in, soft, dense and overwhelming dimension, comes in euphoric waves with halucinogenic moments and lasts about 5 hours, but those are, in many cases, bagseed holy grails :D

I have grown about 8 or so auto strains, and not one can stand a chance against a good photo, I have a feeling that autos lack something, but I can't defined it, it seems to me that in comparison, photos are "complete" in effect...

But I will grow more autos, they are nice plants, fast, and better than street weed :)
For some auto strains a good cure can boost it's effect by a good portion...
