Whether a patient or supporter of medical marijuana, you understand the importance of patients having safe, reliable and local access to marijuana. The city council of Riverside is staunchly opposed to allowing any kind of patient access to marijuana and has passed a ban which closed every collective in the city.
Rather than enact an ordinance like Palm Springs or Los Angeles, they have spent close to one-half million dollars in lawsuits in order to prevent patient access to marijuana and forcing them to either drive long distances to cities that allow collectives or to purchase from criminals.
We have pushed a lot of petitions in this newsletter and encouraged everyone to get involved, but none have been so close to home as the petition now being circulated by former Riverside collective operators and their medical marijuana patients to overturn Riverside’s ban and allow a limited number of collectives to reopen and provide local patients with quality medicine. They have until May to get the needed signatures so time is running out and they are offering some significant $$$ to get the remaining signatures.
The initiative sponsors are now paying $4 for each and every valid signature you obtain. Just obtaining 5 signatures an hour (most people obtain more than that) means you are earning $20 per hour!!!! PLUS – if you collect 200 or more signatures in one week, you will be paid a bonus of $1 per signature which means you will be earning $5 per valid signature.
If you have never circulated an initiative petition before – no problem as they will train you to circulate petitions. If you want to help bring medical marijuana back to Riverside and earn some significant sums of cash, then call 760-333-2448 or 559-309-8924 for more information.
They also need office people to do validity checks on the signatures being turned in. There is no pay for doing this, but there is free drinks and snacks and sometimes even pizza as well as everyone’s grateful appreciation and the knowledge that you have made an invaluable contribution to protecting the rights of medical marijuana patients. If you can help out in the office, call 559-309-8924 or 760-333-2448.
Don’t hesitate to call either phone number with questions. Working to get this initiative on the ballot will be significant, exciting, rewarding and fun plus you will meet some really cool people. Let’s work together to bring back to Riverside safe, reliable and local access to medicinal marijuana.
