thermal imaging and c3

i brought some c3 sheet and put it on my front facing wall of my grow room, so if the police use hand held thermal imaging they wont see the heat on my front wall, im venting out into my loft/attic and worried about the heat build up as you get the occasional hellicopter go by. I can put the c3 sheeting in the loft but wont be able to put it everywhere as the space up there is too tight. Any suggestions would be great

DH raises a good point. Using a thermostatically controlled fan will keep your attic ambient temps down. Virtually negating any heat detecting methods.

I think he got you.... lol USE A FAN to take the heat out and dissipate it to the out doors. Makes sense I do it. People do this even without grow rooms it relay helps the house temps when it gets hot. Heat rises and alwase builds in the attic, in turn making the house hot. Putting a fan to take that hot air out will cool down your hole house.

c3 sheets

c3 sheets

I use a thermal material available here made by easy grow uk.Last i heard the c3 sheets werent available in the US.But its the same thing almost, heres some product info that might help you..

No thermal foil is 100% effective unless mounted one inch from the mounting surface. The important distinction between this product and competitive products is that other products are made with metal components, which conduct heat and therefore cannot possibly offer 100% thermal efficiency. Silver Lightite Diamond Diffusion Foil is made from plastic, not metal. Another important distinction is that this product is highly reflective; other competitive products are dull and do not reflect as much light.

So to make the thermal sheets more effective mount them one inch from the walls especially if the c3 sheets are a metal based product like that will conduct more heat.

im venting out into the attic from my room below, r u sayin i should then vent out from the attic to the outside.

if you have gables there should be square or oval vents already in place. adding a fan behind blowing out would drop attic temps. if you have a hip and valley type roof your need to fan blowing out of the globe looking roof vent.
