The Year In Pot

B

Bazarocka

There has been a tidal shift in politics and on Marijuana laws in America, from Obama lightening up on pot prosecutions to the recognition of cancer prevention properties.

Does This Mean There's a movement???.....lmao
This article lists 10 events from 2009 that will change the course of America's marijuana laws.

#1 Obama Administration: Don’t Focus On Medical Marijuana Prosecutions
United States Deputy Attorney General David Ogden issued a memorandum to federal prosecutors in October directing them to not “focus federal resources … on individuals whose actions are in clear and unambiguous compliance with existing state laws providing for the medical use of marijuana.” The directive upheld a campaign promise by President Barack Obama, who had previously pledged that he was “not going to be using Justice Department resources to try to circumvent state laws on this issue.”

Legal job = part of fundamentally flawed (western) culture/system. I'm all for spreading the potential benefits of MJ to all though!

I dont know what I would do. I may have to change the plans I've had for a while now of moving out of this conservative hellhole. I am usually a skeptic on this subject, but I think Obama is sensible enough to come out in a press conference and say "if the majority of Americans are for it, let's give the people what they want and what we know is safe (and also, let's get paid off that shit)"

Legalize it... lazy ppl will still buy from you.

i agree. how many people grow their own tomatoes? they would get better fruit if they did, but for most it is too much of a hassle. factor in the need for all the equipment and expertise, it becomes apparent that commercial marijuana merchants have nothing to worry about. unless they grow shitty weed, then lets hope the market takes care of them.

true.. not that much people grow their own tomatoes, but how much does a lb of tomatoes sell for? 4.99? so... then how much do you want to sell a lb of your harvest?
