Rumor has it that after l.a. blows it they will move back to Brooklyn.
Duh!Not knowing exactly who is who, I'll go with the idea that the happy guys are the winning team.
Sports Illustrated said:So why is its championship called the "World Series"?
The answer goes back to when the championship was created, according to NPR.
"You really have to look back at the way most people in the United States saw the world in 1903 — the year the 'World Series' championship was created," Joseph A. Reaves, a baseball writer, told NPR. "The Gilded Age was giving way to an era when the United States would dominate the globe militarily, economically and politically. No one could beat the United States militarily. And surely no one could beat the U.S. at its own game."
It was also used as marketing tactic to draw more people to the games, according to NPR.
Since baseball has gone international, some of the best players often come from other countries. So the game does have a much more global feel. But Major League Baseball franchises are only located in the United States and Canada.
This is the nationality of the 2019 MLB players:Yea, that's a bit cocky, but it is what it is. Don't know about the "baseball has gone international" part tho. It's pretty much the US, Canada, Japan and Cuba and then Venezuela has like 10 guys who play baseball and that's it.. Unless you count everyone who owns a Nintendo Wii and Wii sports, and who doesn't? ..Then you play baseball, too..
Me I personally think they should go all out and call Olympic baseball thing the Universal Series or something.
