I am a tester of these beans and I have two going outdoors. I only have a picture of one right now but I will keep things updated as flowering goes on.

No but I am growing The White outdoors for the first time in 4 yrs..psyched to have her back.She finishes by first wk of Oct @ 41.5 lat.Should be delicious combined with the CJ.

This plant is just about to go into flower, so it should get a good amount bigger. It is safe to say it will yield a pound no problem, 3-4 pounds with no mold or bud rot. We will see, I have heard good things about your Casey Jones outdoors and it's yields. I have another picture from this weekend I will try to upload. I am getting excited about this strain, can't wait.

Sure, lets start from the top shall we?

Size of hole:

This year I decided to go with mounds, not holes.

I bought 6 yards of fresh soil, and tilled it in my native soil. My native soil has had many organic gardens, so the native so is very nice as well. My soil mix for my fresh 6 yards of soil was:


33% 5/16 lava rocks
15% EWC
18% blend of organic composts.
33% Peat Moss

Per yard of above material I will add:

5 lbs steamed bone meal
5 lbs bloom bat guano
5 lbs blood meal
3 lbs rock phosphate
3/4 cup Epsom salts
1/2 cup azomite
2 tbsp powdered humic acid
10 cup alfalfa
10 cup kelp meal
100 tsp of Dolomite Lime (edit: this amount is for 1 yard of peat)

I didn't know how much greensand or rock minerals to add so I just sprinkled it on the top. Then I made the mounds 3 ft wide x 18 inches tall x 25 ft long. They have been working great so far this season.

As for my tea's, I use Microbeorganics.com for my recipes. I will cut and paste the tea I use the most:

A/ Recipe for a Diversity of Microbes; Nutrient Cycling
- measurements do not need to be precise; expressed in different units in brackets.

*compost/vermicompost – 2.38% max. (4.5 liters), (19 cups US), (4.5 quarts US) – reduce as required according to brewer and water quality

*unsulphured pure black strap molasses - I recommend using 0.50% (just under 1 liter), (4 cups US) (1 quart US) [but you can use a maximum 0.75% (1.4 liters), (5.9 cups US), (1.4 quarts US)] – reduce as required according to brewer and water quality

*fish hydrolysate(high quality) - 0.063% - (120 ml); (4 ounces)
Do not use chemically deodorized liquid fish!

*kelp meal - 0.25% max. (0.5 liter or 500 ml), (17 ounces US), (0.5 quart US), (2 plus cups)
NOTE: This is a maximum amount of kelp and you can experiment using less. This is using regular grade kelp meal for livestock. If you have soluble kelp, I recommend using smaller amounts. Sometimes kelp meal can initially delay bacterial multiplication.

*soft rock phosphate granules/powder - 0.063% - (120 ml) (4 ounces), (0.5 cup)
We grind up the granules into a powder with a coffee grinder

Length of Brew;
This will provide a CT with a microbial content of, bacteria/archaea and fungal hyphae (if present in compost) when brewed for 18 to 24 hours. When using our fungal inhabited vermicompost, the optimum time seems to be 18 hours for a bacteria/archaea and fungal brew. If brewed for 30 to 36 hours (and up to 42 to 48 hours if you have a microscope) there will be flagellates and amoebae (& some ciliates) as well, providing a functioning microbial consortia which is better for nutrient cycling in the soil/root interface. Because of the variations in brewing compost tea, it is better to examine the microbial content with a microscope and decide at what period of the brew you should apply it but if you do not have a microscope then use the CT between the time periods mentioned above for the desired effects.

Things are going great man, thanks for the interest. I have to admit, so far this plant is in my top three. One of my La Confidential's and one GSC are super vigorous, but they may have nothing on the The White x Casey Jones.

This picture was taken 7-2-12 and she stood 51 inches tall. ( 4 foot three) I always take pictures with my tape measure from the mulch to the top of the plant. I have done this for years so I can judge things season to season.

This picture was taken last weekend on 7-21-12. She stood at 63.5 inches tall or 5 foot 3.5 inches.

For a total of 19 days growth you have an entire foot of height. As you can tell that doesn't tell the hole story. Outdoor plants really fill in as flowering get triggered. On top of that, my weather has been extremely mild this season, with very little days over 75f.

Once again thanks for your time, and any other questions feel free to ask. I will try to get another update this weekend. I am staring my flowering regimen this weekend, so that will take a lot of work. Top dressing, teas and liquid ferts.

I would imagine that the bigger one is CJ leaning and the other is the White leaning. From what I hear CJ gets really big, as it is mostly sativa

Glad nobody closed the thread because I will have some pictures coming of the Casey Jones x The White coming in the next couple weeks. I spread the seeds around and everybody is in love with this strain. The only negative thing about it so far is it seems to be slightly less resistant to mildew, but no mold on the nugs. Super dank! Harvest time will be around Oct 14th - 21st is appears.
