when we plant seeds/clones on another planet somewhere far away from here....

It is clear to me, different stars have different light / energies... and growing in such conditions will make for some new intersting results, strains and varieties...

yeah, but not to be negative and I am no brainiac but I belive, I am not positive that everything plants and animals that have evolved on this planet evolved under very crucial conditions. I know in the Kepler belt they say they have found earths and super earths and maybe some that are in the "goldielocks" zone of not to hot and not to cold but it isnt the same. Think what a little less gravity would do? Not like the moon, but lighter then earth? An MJ plant wouldnt be able to evovle and adapt and say okay my cells need to be this far apart now and I do this different would it? How about having children? Whats a developing child like with a little less force pushed on it?
I mean I think there are other earthlike planets out there but I think if we want to live on them or bring animals plants from earth they will need to be in a bubble. With some heavy tech but very interesting idea on multiple suns and different light energies? Are there energies that plant life on this planet doesnt receive in some small amount from our sun?

Not being negative man love the idea just wanted to know what you think.

Microherd in exosoil might be quite different..but don't really know, just suspecting. Also if the suns spectrum was way different, earthly chlorophylls might not be as well adapted. But again, just speculating. A whole new world of pests. Or different mass of the exoplanet affecting all kinds of stuff.

But it's very interesting idea, especially with different day length and maybe with red and blue suns :D . Or how about purple.

Fark [email protected] ABOUT GROWING IN SPACE?

The radiation alone could engender some amazing mutations!

And as Cannabis and Hemp are ideal for air recyc systems...food and fiber...oils and plastics...no serious attempt @ longterm space travel can afford NOT to consider Cannabis/Hemp.

growing in zero gravity with a clear "sunroof" & put it in an orbit where it gets natural 12/12 sun light. it would grow toward the window, with no need to support it. hmmmm... AOH

Imagine a 12 hour ROTATION in direct, though cooled, sunlight...

Wh@ a spacestation!

IMHO - The very next evolutionary leap in ganja growing will happen when we grow out as many males as females I think something really special is hiding within the males out there ;)

Anyone know any futuristic spaceship aero/hydrogarden designs?

Pick me up when you build one my lil 1.5 diesel struggles to break orbit most days.
You can drop me off on that avitar planet, looks like a sweet spot to grow.

Down side is if you need to order seeds, nutes or whatever, cost of shippings going to be very very high.

Wh@ they need to do first is put a growtank in high earth orbit...one of those giant tanks the shuttle uses would be fine...Insulate and install LED lamps...
I believe it would be improbable th@ one could use light for growing directly because of the insulation needed...but solar power generation is perfectly ok...and the tank can be kept heated/cooled using solar light as well....3-5 of these tanks could be framed together and rotated for gravity if need be...not much would be needed.

Mutations would still happen more, I suspect, than here dirtside...

Similar for the moon...possibly send a self aligning cluster of these growtanks ahead to park themselves in orbit and start growin'!

Once on the surface they could start producing resins and oils as well as fibres...cheaper to grow and make warm clothing than to import it...same for paper...cooking oil...flour...chicken feed {ya NEED eggs, right?..chooks would do well on the moon...low gravity...dumb and easy to contain...good meat...and their poop is almost solid so it won't splatter too much in null-G}

for starters, they could grow in mineshafts th@ have been pressurized...this could potentially grow giant like tall plants!

Thought about it before lol, I'd imagine if you could simulate earth's gravity, the sun would make a big difference if you were growing in space. Way more energy and radiation than what the atmosphere lets through now... And hey, Ricky's thought about it before too hehe.

In all seriousness, once the US legalizes Cannabis, I hope they put a few up in the space station at least. It would be a good start! hahahaha Space grown weed might actually pass NYC weed in price.... "my shit was grown in space, its Space OG". HAAAAHHA
