Nice urkle dusty, looks strikingly similar to my presebnt run of her, while my last run had the same dark purple look as CC's. I wasnt aware that the urkle's color was somewhat teperature triggered, but it certainly appears so.

Anyways, great looking plants bro, heres to a great harvest :joint:

Take care and stay safe

Hey man if you feed them a bunch of molassses all thru harvest it purps up way easier also letting them go 60 days and jus having barely any differences and a good flush really make it happen...temps are just the easy way.

ps these are shots from only 45 days of flower.

I hear you dusty, I didnt feed any molasses, but she was indeed well fed ;) She went about 64 days and definately has some purple top her, just not nearly as much as the solid purple bud I pulled off my last urkle. It was warm though, probably low 80's at times, so Im guessing thats why she didnt fully turn. I was just suprised at that.

Thanmks for the info, maybe I'll try a little mo next time :D

Take care

Hey bro heres some it was about 82 during the day and 75 at night in this room this plant was all organic. with too much N urkle doesnt purp up too hard, same with too much P so a well fed girl wont turn up too much got to feed them the right way at th e right time to get the result you want urkle is a real PITA glad Im switching!

Heres a pic from 49 days another room..

Does anyone know what cross/strain urkle is from? I know GDP is Urkle x Big Bud and wondered what the Urkle was. I suppose the Big Bud in GDP is to improve it's commercial potential and not the smoking experience?

That sounds good to me mr james haha. I know gdp would yield more but fuck that! I want taste and potency, I think urkle alone is great! the lineage I'm not to sure of....

Here I did some research and weedbay came up. This is what they had to say:

Purple Urkle, also known as Purple Urkel and Purple Erkle. This strain is a clone only medical strain available in California compassion clubs. Probably a pheno on Mendo Purps or The Purps it's a classical med strain.

Purple Urkle from clone only

Lineage: Mendo Purps pheno
Family: Mostly Indica
Origin: North California
Region: Not Listed
Genotype: Not Listed
Indoor Maturation: 60 to 65 days
Outdoor Maturation: Not Listed
Sex Possibilities: Pure Female Clones
Stature: Bushy but slow
Yield: 4
Odor Level: 8
Odor Description: A skunk wearing perfume
Taste Level: 9
Taste Description: Always Grapey and fine

Claims that Purple Urkle is from Lavender seed stock are largely dispelled since Lavender is neither this consistant or this good. The flavor is exquisite, and blend of skunk, berries and grapes that seems to taste the same whenever you smoke it. No matter what grower it comes from the taste and effects are the same. A heavey Idica with smaller than normal yeild, barely a 1/2 lb from a 1000 watt light. She's bushy and vegs slowly. A good 8 week strain suitable for most medical uses. The high is a bit too strong for some and is reccommended at night time. The smoke is tastey, thick and pungent. It compares well with strains like Grand Daddy Purple and Grape Ape.

PEACE EVERYONE!!!

Thanks caligreen that is cool. I agree, the head and the experience is #1!!!!!! Sounds very sweet and mmm and pretty strong so Urkle meets that. :woohoo:

What are the two oldlines Dusty Bowls? If it is an F1 cross are there seeds out there? Is there much variation? Are there more than one genuine Urkle clones out there?

I read this in another thread.....

Purple Urkle or Humboldt Purple “aka” Purple Urple ...has been grown by folks in Southern Humboldt since 'approx.' 1989...the Mendo catz are responsible for renaming it "Lavender", among others...A good friend “White Trash Redneck” has grown the Mendocino "Lavender" cut side by side with the Humboldt Purple Urple/Urkle, as well as Bridgeville Black Afghan, Nepalean Purple, Pakistani Purple Kush, & Tuity Fruity Purple...he swears there all the same cut just renamed. He also went on to tell me that the Humboldt Purple cut seems to be an old school IBL...and.....it's 'very' breed worthy...He has made better than 20 Urkle hybrids and has been impressed with all of them. I don’t think Grape Ape is the same cutting however, The grape ape I’ve seen has been pretty decent smoke, comparable to the granddad. No purple I’ve smoked except for straight Urkle has been decently potent

Other names I have uncovered that are likely the same cutting are:
Garberville PK... aka Swerve's Cut
Mendocino PK
Kyle Kushman's PK
"K's", PK

Any truth in this? I saw that the dude who posted it was banned so maybe it is bullshit?
