Has anyone on this board have been busted for Power Consumption alone?
or herd of anyone that has Im going on 50ys. old and never hard off such.

ya man, never heard either. unless you got a HUGE grow op with hundreds of lights then i dont think its to noticeable.

The way i see it, you can use as much power as as long as you pay on time and pay the rite amount. The CoOps want your cash, why tell on someone that is paying them alot of money. The only thing that worries me is the 12hr on and 12hr off.. That what needs to be avoided. How?
Run the lights 24 -7 and manualy move the plants in to the dark room
and ViceVersa, So 3k lights will be like 6k , in other words you will double
up. It will take some time to move the swap the plants, but there is no
12-12 cycle, It would be real nice to have a controlled dark room, after
the last light cycle of the plant it would be placed in a very cold and low humity environment for 48hr or so. Also get or make a couple of Carbon Scrubbres, and keep your mouth Shut.

You electrical records are just a meens to get a warrant usually.. You can't be arrested for using too much electricity.. They will use your records as evidence against you in court if they raid your grow.. They will most likely use a number of different ways to determine wether you are growing.. Electrical useage is one.. Trash, smell, witnesses and survalliance are also other ways.. But don't go overboard with the useage.. Depending on the square footage of the home I wouldnt use more then about 4k... But there are grows on here where people use 10k all the time and never have much problems..

I know many people in NJ and upstate NY that use 20+kw of energy running dozens of computers. One guy I know I think he's in nebraska has something like 200 computers in his house I'd say drawing an average of 500w each? These run 24/7 folding, running servers, ect.

Also I know many people who have many 1kw metal halides for their aquariums not the same energy consumption as above but it's still very high. 12hours a day @ 15kw? (On average for the enthusiasts I know) Bigger than most flowering rooms.

None of these people have ever been investigated for mj cultivation as far as I know.

Who knows though, I'm sure cops have used energy consumption as their official probably cause for a warrant when someone is narced on or something of that sort of cause.
