It's a great insulator, but I fail to see why it would be a good medium...
For one it's almost clear, that would lead to all kinds of algae issues.
Two, it weighs nothing, so plants would not have much support.
The only benefit I could possibly see would be it helping keep heat out the res...
Am I missing something?

True I was thinking put that as a lid on your DWC bucket and let the plant grow right thru it, u could be burning a fire outside the bucket and the water would stay at room temp, not like that would ever happen tho it would have to be mass produced and yeah theres more practical ways, I just think its neat this stuff exists.
Lol nvm I guess it might be too hard for the roots to break thru since its not mallable like rockwool. but yeah the ultimate _insulator_
