The Ultimate L.E.D Grow. 126w Penetrator - *New Technique

pictures look pretty clear to me bro,,i do wanna try leds,,but i dont know

Yeh. It is only 126w so that might be why they don't look too dense. I got a 345w going right now, and hps cannot compare to LED in veg. I guess I'll know how they stack up in about 2 months when they're done flowering!

CareFreeLivin. Well it could be that it was only 126 watts but I feel the root system wasn't big enough to support all those bud sites. The grow before this I got spray paint size buds but only like 5 of them. I just grew one plant that was a mother to hold me over while this one finished up.

I am thinking next time around I will see a denser canopy. But man if I woulda had that 345 on my light mover who knows what woulda happened!! I'd like to know hahahaha!

Anyhow Now that I got 2 126w penetrators hooked up I should see a nice improvement from that to! Right now I am doing a grow with the 252 watts to test it out.

Once I have the next 4 clones vegged the way I want I am gonna give this another shot.

p.s. Stems are looking dry but not quite snapping. I think Wensday I will be good weigh n start curing.

Thanks for the reply. 2 of those lights should make a huge improvement. I'm interested in seeing the grams/watt numbers! Did you find that your res temps were a bit high in early stages on veg growth? When I first started with the LED I found that the water temps had increased a few degrees.

Well Yeah, one thing is in my cab the veg area is above the flower. the res temps are around 74 and I need to get them down. the flower area is cool its on concrete floor, nice n cool.

Dry Weight Time..

Dry Weight Time..

Well These suckers are dry. Just wanna say the buds look and smell great "lemons", I need to take some shots of the buds for yall later.

But for now I got the final weight: 170 Grams. Certainly not as much as I was hoping for but still 6 ounces from 118 Watts aint bad. if you add up my totals you get 165 but I gave at LEAST 5-10 grams to my trim buddy.

I sure learned alot in this grow, wasn't even gonna be a scrog when I started it! Anyhow if you ask me, I like this strain, it does have potential but this is coming from someone who doesn't have a ton of experience with different strains.

As for the light, uhhh yeah I'm a believer to say the least. I got 1/2 pound for the price of having a 100 watt light bulb on.

Mother plant is vegging right now and once I get some clones vegged off her I will be at it again to try and beat the GPW with led!! I forget the record But I beat My old one at least: I got 1.44 GPW

The First shot is the fluffy stuff all smashed into one container, the rest is thick buds. The thinner stuff is still tasty and potent though!!

Congrats MB, that was a good pull and its your own - thats always the best feeling when growing for ones own stash.

Keep up the great work, can't wait to see what your next run looks like - I love my 2 126w panels, wish I could afford 2 more but the times are hard right now....

Bean- congratz on the harvest. But I am inclined to say that there is way too much stem connected to those buds and I dont like stem. I feel that your numbers are not accurate based on too much stem.

(you know this is not a flame, we been around in thhe same threads, you know my position)

IMO the stems don't weigh much, I guess I coulda been more stringent in the trimming.I wish I had more buds on those stems not less stems haha!!

Well I am gearing up now for another shot with this strain so maybe better luck next time! For now I am happy with my half pound, even if there's an extra gram or 2 of stems.

Unfortunately your GPW calculation is wrong. You yielded .72 GPW, NOT 1.44 GPW.

GPW is based off an area being lit 12/12, you paid for your light to be lit for 24 hrs a day. Yes you did save money on not having to buy a 2nd LED unit, but you still ran TWO areas, BOTH lit 12 hours a day.

So even tho you only used one light, your electric cost was the same as if you ran two lights.

The correct way to calculate GPW for your setup would be;

(Area1 Yield + Area2 Yield) / (Area1 Watts + Area2 Watts)

170g / (118w + 118w) = .72 GPW

Still a very nice yield. Can't wait to see what you do next round.

Damn it..
it's that Cursed math stuff...
looks like Blynxy is right ...yet again
Damn him for payin attn. in class
But that said...even an OZ of weed for the price of a 100 watt bullb is sweet

Not that you don't have a point, but I am still right with 1.44 gpw imo. Lets say someone is growing an auto flowering strain, and flowers at 17hrs a day. they still calculate the gpw by their light size only. Also people use maybe 13 hours of light too, which is never a factor in gpw.

Show me another post where people are calculating their gpw with the time the lights are on! I haven't seen it yet.

I just see people say, I have a 1000w light and I got x buds so I get Z gpw. never do they calculate the time the lights on, or better yet, how many days these lights are on???

1.44 GPW to me. thanks for the heads up though. If were going to call your formula the GPW I bet there's a few other threads thay need updated.

Honestly GPW doesn't mean shit when all you end up with is a buncha fluffy popcorn fluffanoogins. Not to be a dick, but look at that shit.

Also do you think you gave them enough food? What the hell happened here?

It can be 1.44GPW to you, but it's STILL WRONG.

My equation for GPW does NOT include hours on/off.

GPW is calculated PER GROWING AREA. You had a divider thus creating TWO AREAS, thus you must calculate wattage USED IN EACH AREA.

YOU did NOT run autoflowers, you ran TWO AREAS, each with their own light and dark period, so you have to treat your areas as TWO DIFFERENT AREAS.

IF you ran autoflowers, then you would NOT have a divider like you do, and THEN you COULD calculate it using 118w.

If you really want to get 1.44 GPW, then you would need to run autoflowers and REMOVE THE DIVIDER and yield 170g dry from that SINGLE AREA, or run 12/12 strains and yield 340g dry total from BOTH AREAS.
