I have read that some use co2 right up until harvest and I have heard to stop using it for the last two or so weeks to prevent deterioration of thc. Which is true?
The last two weeks is when it is used the most. The bulk of the plant is put on in the last weeks. So they need to assimilate as much as they can. More food!
CO2 does not increase potency. CO2 increases the 'amount' of THC produced. C02 should be used 1500ppm in a sealed enviro for optimum results, and can be used right up to harvest. Here's a quote from Jorge Cervantes' The Indoor Bible (who I much admire and respect):
"CO2 enrichment does not make plants produce more potent THC; it causes more foilage to grow in less time. The larger the volume of THC potent marijuana, the larger the volume of THC produced". Also.... "A grow room using CO2 enriched air, adequate light, water and nutrients, mind boggling results may be achieved."
C02 is carbon, and the plant uses carbon to build itself. It simply helps to produce more surface area for resin to grow on. Nothing to do with actual chemical potency.
