I think you'll find it's the other way around.calyxlover said:Well of course now I know of Arjan but wondered who this Scott Blakey was and why he took all the credit when Arjan's the real man.

If you want the real deal go with Mr Nice (Shantibaba), not Greenhouse (Arjan). Virtually all of Greenhouse's famous strains such as Super Silver Haze, Mango Haze, White Widow and so on were Shantibaba's creations. Shantibaba left Greenhouse for Mr Nice, but Greenhouse kept selling his creations which is why Mr Nice has renamed some (White Widow to Black Widow for example) so that he can help keep HIS creations unique.
Depends on personal preferences - what type of high you prefer, whether you prefer indys or sats, whether you dont mind a long flower period or need a short one, etc etcSo whats the best Scott Blakey shyte I should pick when I can which will be soon
Most seedbanks carry Mr Nice (Shantibaba) seeds. Some arent available at the moment, i was lucky enough to find 1 pack of Shantibaba's Limited Edition Mango Haze on Seedbay a couple months ago, 15 seeds for US$80 - bargain :smile:and how can I get them to the states other than Seedbay just in case I have to use alternate vendors. Thanks.
jim dankness said:haze is similar to the madness, in that it was an unstabilized multi-hybrid sativa cross. but the original haze originated in the california bay area (some say santa cruz, others say oakland/hayward) in the late '60's, and came to nevil, along with many other california-bred genetics, via sam the skunkman.
shanti has insinuated he was involved with the mullumbimby madness at some point, but if one does the time line (shanti is a young guy compared to most of that generation of breeders), it wouldn't have been until the early '80s. my guess is that because the madness was an unstabilized multi-hybrid like the haze, shanti did a few generations of relative stabilization.
mullumbimby madness seems to have been used in very, very few modern hybrids & what it has been used in are rare as the proverbial hen's teeth. the only ones i can think of off the top of my head are cog's old mother sativa (which again, sounds like a stabilized version of an older mull.madness) and the vic's gold (which is the madness crossed with two indicas, i believe).
