The security angles of slangin seed

So I've been lurking the Cannabis genetics biz for some time now and I've seen quite a few breeders lose parental stock (and some even their freedoms) to law enforcement.

What should an (eventually) aspiring breeder consider when planning the opening of a seedstore/webstore? I notice that most US breeders tend to send their stock to a 3rd party (seedbou/bay) which is overseas for sale, probably because its legal to trade in seed there? So then aside from not handling individual customers how does a breeder stay under the radar? I guess the usual no talk/smell/sell is the best to go by, but what other measures should be taken more specifically to a breeder who has to deal with high plant #'s to get a good vigorous seedlot?

Thank you for your cooperation :D

I say this with the utmost respect and sincerity, if you have to ask this you shouldn't be doing it on a large scale at all. Get your feet wet first by tinkering with a few crosses and try to manipulate the results by using Mendelian principals to your advantage. Plant test lots can be done at once or in cycles of few (provided you keep detailed notes of each plant). Get your feet wet first and you'll answer this yourself. Before you consider opening a store learn to breed, your talking about running a marathon and u don't know how to walk yet. But remember, how well you learned and applied your methods will be evident in your seeds.

^ OP never asked anything about breeding. I think it's possible that one could be familiar with breeding plants but not too familiar with the security procedures surrounding peddling black market wares.

i dont think anyone really has a good answer on how to stay really safe. if the dea wants you your done. dont admit to being in usa. use a middle man in another country. and pray. i would love to hear others responses. even tho other countries seeds might be legal. sending them in and out of usa is still illegal . just ask marc emery. only countries with no extradition are safe for the seller. the dea will come get ya otherwise.
