:gday: ok so i am looking for the most potent early maturing Afghani. so far these are what i have found that are available in regular seeds to me.

kc brain Afghani Special, DNA Pure Afghani, seed man Original Afghani #1 , grind house Ancient Afghan, sensi Afghani #1,flying Dutchmen Afghanica, Homegrown Fantaseeds Afghani and i was thinking of tom hill deep chunk to.

i have not heard good thing about sensi's but not sure of the rest i don't think i missed any.

i am thinking of trying DNA,seed man, grind house, tom hill and homegrown but not sure yet any input

never tried any, excep deepchunk crosses.

personally, i'd go with Seedmans Afghan#1, better yet, the Narkush

i'm a fan of KCbrains, but i've heard mixed reviews about the afghan special.

Take a look at the G33s too from Head seeds, (a backcross to a G13 cross).

Depends on what your looking for. I have two crosses of Afghans which i'm about to start running. The first being Deep Chunk x Lapis Mountain Indica, the second Anceient Afghan.

AA is a crica 84-85 Cali Afghan, supposedly its bomb diggity with old school flavors that characterize the Afghan's in general. I'm gonna be using AA to bring out the Afghan in some of my current strains(DC x LMI, trainwreck x afghan x (A.afghan) and my Chem leaning Mob Boss which i'm in the process of choosing.)

DC X LMI is gonna b very consistent due to the DeepChunk which is why i'm gonna be crossing it to the Ancient Afghan. Just have to search through the seeds i have to find the right pheno.

Of all you listed, I've only grown the seedsman Afghani #1. Very consistent, looked like a batch of clones. Around 8 weeks. Stony, hashy tasting. Easy to grow, good vigor, good yield. Big fat Indica leaves. I'd give it a 7-8 on a scale of 1-10 potency wise.

I've grown Nirvana Afghani too. Not bad for the price, but it didn't strike me as a pure Afghan.

Deep Chunk IMHO is the best example of what you can expect from a real pure Afganica Hashplant.

Since you're in BC, how about the 20+ year old Merritt (Watty) Kush?
Clone only and hard to beat. Any auto-mechanic should be able to get the cut.... Hash-maker exraordinaire, 4+ grams per oz w/ Iso, 6+ w/ Butane.

Is the watty on the island? Heard lot's of good things but never got the chance to try her.

6 grams a oz is about 20% return .. I thought that was pretty standard for well done indoor.
An acquaintance on here has been getting 30% with the rockstar cut.. and the starting product could have been better.

Some Islanders have it, HMK does for sure, I think 2.7 g. per 12 gms. was the number (6.3). Most really good weed is well below that.

hey tug i have never heard of that strain..but not really looking for a kush there is lots around but sounds good

welder dan thanks for the info in sam's #1

Ras Pablo thanks i really want to try deep chunk

funkymonkey thanks for the info on kc's

it sounds like i will have to get them all and see for my self which one i like best and then use it as breeding stock

Theres a line going around, can't remember breeder. Ancient Afghan, pretty sure its at the boutique somewhere. Buddy grew out a few, extremely menthol-raw in your face afghan. Would reccommend it if your looking for that acrid, more expanding afghan than your (imo) more common, sweeter-lemony ghani. Where I live, Ghani is a big thing, and people take lots of pride in their 20+ year old cuts. In its own right, some of the best weed I've ever had to smoke was pure afghan. Good luck on your search!

Yo i got the sensi afgani#1.. it must be old stock cause very few germed... but still looking promising... Most everything i got from sensi doing very well tho, this includes the hindu kush, big bud, afghani#1, jack herear, Northern lights, and many more

All in all i would go with sensi or a freebie because there fresh stock

Interesting report, thanks, I had read on here some people saying the Nirvana Afghani was one of the best, but the Seedsman version sounds very nice. Either way, it seems you do not have to pay a fortune to get some good basic Affie genes.
