dude you can veg a lot longer if you have space...veg time is determined by the vertical space of your area...your pre-flowers are dying...your plants are ladies and not girls...flower now or later

First of all, I think you might be confused as to what "pistils" are, because those plants don't really have any except maybe on the preflowers. Pistils are the hairs that come out of the flowers, usually starting out white or yellow, and eventually turning red/orange/brown, and occasionally pink or purple. They start growing after the plant has been flowering for a week or two, except for a few isolated pistils on preflowers which don't tell you anything except the sex.

Second of all, there is no "right" time to flower. It depends on a lot of things, but usually height restrictions and light intensity matter the most. If you're using fluorescent lights, you don't want a 5-6 foot tall plant because only the top will get good light. In general, plants will stretch from 50% to 200% in the first few weeks of flowering, so if you only have 4 feet of space below your light, you should flower by the time they use half their space.

Anyway, to answer your original question, just buy a timer and switch the light cycle to 12 on, 12 off, and that's all you have to do to start flowering. If they are already too tall, you can tie or bend the branches down, or use a screen (SCROG) to hold them down.

as Dr katz has stated, I would also put them into some bigger pots before putting them info flowering....... 12 in tall plants per 1 gallon size pots MINIMUM.

Good job on your first grow m8 they look good

1st off thank you for showin some love to my thread. So yeah i got some timers , now i just need to section off my basement to flower it OR Veg em for long as possible till my bucket grow is ready to flower, the ceiling is is 6' 5. I would like to use em to clone. I will make sure to put them in a nice and cozzy bucket for them roots to stretch, I added some Fox grow big veg and root 66 to the mix in stead of using novagrow, i dont really like that stuff, to concentrated and the stuff is pretty dark. Well hey you helped me out and i thank yeah again, Dont be shy and poke your nose over at my dwc grow. everything is built , just need to swap out another valvle and up the airpump from a 600 to a 950 . hang the lights this weekend and throw in the hydrotron. the clones are grown nice roots. love that root66.

Take your clones before you switch to flower, if possible. If you are looking for a mother instead do not switch to flower at all. Stay in veg.
