Got mine yesterday, may wait untill next outdoor season to start these because I want GIANT sativa plants. If I keep any inside I'll have to try to super crop it, just tie it right over

JLP: When i weeded out the males from my current grow, I put a MasterKush sideways and let it grow an inch, then back normal for an inch, and then once more sideways. It ended up the bushiest plant I have ever seen. It was indica, but I am sure it would have similar results on a sativa.

Right on guys :)

I was thinking about something I saw at OG a long time ago.It was a guy who had a small cabinet and he grew a Haze in it.
He grew in soil in a square bucket, but he laid the bucket over on it's side and grew the plant side-ways.It really seemed to retard the stretch of the Sativa, the plant was trying to grow two directions at the same time.I think it might work even better if you trained it to a horizontal screen or chicken wire.
I haven't tried it,but it's an idea.

JLP:)

That's interesting. How did he keep the soil from falling out? How did he water it?

Tropical: When I did it i used a small slice of rockwool to keep the open end of the pot angled slightly upwards to keep the soil in, and when you water you simply set it upright.

Hey Tropical,
Yeah,I thought the same thing, kind of eliminates most hydro applications as well.
With my old soil grows, after the first few waterings the soil kind of crustifies and the roots grow out and bind the soil together.I guess if it became a problem you could duct tape a piece of window screen over the top of the pot.
As far as watering, just like Juan says, tip it up and water normally.

How's the smell and flowering time for NH?

How's the smell and flowering time for NH?

I have a sativa practically overgrowing my tny cabinet. It's at its 56th day of flowering, but ardly have finished making budsites. The smell is quite sweet and lemony when leaves/stem is fondled with, but when just sniffing a little on her there's a discrete stench of wet grass to it. The leaves/shoots looks just like the pics from Dutchgrown. Colour and shape. All the same.

They should show sex at about 6-8 weeks. If you cut back to a 11/13 or 10/14 light cycle you could advance flowering it a little. If they don't show sex by 8-10 weeks it probably best to discard the plant as it may never flower or take so incredible long that it won't be practical to grow.

this looks like a nice move
are there still some seeds left JLP?
i could use some to grow outdoor and maybe pollinate one of my plants

Thank you JLP,

Looks like at least 11 Phoenix 1 seeds cracked open for me. Great germination rate.

I may need to buy another light!

peace, love, understanding (giggle)

Right on guys :)

Yeah,I've plenty of seeds left.

I've got a couple PH1 at about 30 days flower. The leaf is wider and darker than the mother, not by much, but enough to tell the difference. They still haven't shown sex yet.

So if I ask you might say yes?

So if I ask you might say yes?

I know I'm getting my nose in a little late here John, but if you have any Phoenix#1 that you are still passing around, I would sure like to try some.

Hey JLP...

Hey JLP...

Hey JLP....Nice job.....I also was lucky enough to recieve 11 of the orig raid beans from DG herself...out of the 11 ..9 germed and 4 were female....I took the best what looked to be NH dom male and also made a tone of hybrids with him.....But of my females my pize one is a SSH/NH that has absolutely no branching so its basicly 3ft of haze cola....The smell is wonderful...she hints HEAVY sage and wildflowers....She grows a ton like a Kalimist I had way back in the day a spiraling middle finger length bracts.....

glad to see someone else was fortunate to walk away with them beans.....I am currently at 70+ days of flower with no end in sight.....

If ya like to check out my current project
http://www.overgrow.com/edge/showthread.php?t=501136&onlyuser=&perpage=15&pagenumber=12

the ssh is the crazy lookin one halfway down the page....

and check out them BuddhasSister hybrids also....

Hey Moon, yeah,I checked out the thread.Nice job on the hybrids.I've only grown Buddah's Sister once but I really liked it.

Don't listen to that chump over there. His drag sounds almost like exelitexe, another Cannabis Aryan.
I don't use acres to breed with,I use great strains.I've grown enough of my own crosses to know that if you breed a couple of Great Danes you're not going to get a Basset Hound,no matter what they say about f2 and crosses.

Here's a couple shots of Phoenix 1 at about 40 days flower.Nice wide leaves and stalky stalks.Look like it got a good dose of SSH from the dad.Hopefully it wont take 16 weeks like the mom.
