Nice Teck I wish I could find a completed test grow for the West Coast Sugar, can only find it for the Humboldt! Either way I'm sure it'll be some good smoke.
Harry: By "mine", you meant Phoenix Haze? not TukTuk Seed right? Good luck with either and trust me you won't be unhappy with the Phoeniz Haze
I cut mine at 93 days, great smell, super high, and only been drying for three days. It is my first haze, and compared to my other sativas, this one is in a class by it's own. Props to Dutchgrown and JLP for an outstanding experience, my last few beans are going in the ground tonight.
It looks like my Haze may finish at around 85 - 90 days. Stopped stretching and now the top of the plant is just packing on so much. I have pics, it's just saving them from the camera. So lazy . I'll get them up soon. They're about a week old. So much resin production from day to day. Amazing. Keep it green.
Thanks JLP for the seeds. I have just received them. That was some seriously fast shipping, I thought it would take longer. Finally I can get started, but maybe I shouldn't with these because it will be my first time and it is a huge plant. But I could try and hopefully will succeed. Thanks a lot. You're the best. And thanks to DG for them.
I have one Phoenix Project #1 too. It's mostly a Neville pheno, but sort of stubbier budleaves than NH did have.... Sorry to say I cannot take pics of it now, as I dropped my digicam in the tiled floor when shooting some photos of my LUI clones vegresinomania.
Got some older shots though. You can see how I've bent the mainstem into a continous S-shape. When I tilt and top this right before the second/last boost/stretch I get a screenless scrog-style foliage, or at least a massive crown of the hazeiest tastiest buds (think it was tilted/topped and repot at 8-10 weeks in 12/12, but I induced flowering cycle at 12-16 days of veg. Forgot to keep track so I'll just try to recall. Beleive she had started growing her fourth shoot when putting her in the bloom-box.)
Six weeks old or so...
Here's a couple of lower nuglets from the 7th week of flowering for you to drool over...
And then the final photo where you get an impression of the stature and size at the very same day, the 30th of Nowember. (35-40cm trained)
Some lower buds are almost ripe and drying in my locker right now. Gonna just cure them a week or two, and have a pre-taste at chopping time.
1 Q to JLP or other Neeville Farmers: Do we count flowering days from sex-date on them tropical sativas or from 12/12? (I've been calculating 150days from 12/12 and/or 14weeks from sexdate for some reason.... Wonder why I have those numbers !?!"£¤@''* Hmmmm? )
Unfortunately, my phoenix is seeded , along with ma sour bubbles, and my kush X Skunk#1. Shit happens oh well, i just gotta chope her and the others down an start again. Im still gonna av Sour bubble and phoenix to smoke for my b'day in feb, but it'll be seeded. So what. still good shit. Never mind eh.
I dont know whether it was a hermie, or stray Sour bubble pollen from the veg room, but looking at the pattern of "Seeding", the plants against the common wall, shared between the veg room and flower room, are worst affected, with it getting less and less towards the othewr end. This has me more inclined to believe the stray SB pollen theory, but as I have sais elsehwere, thal could just be me, reaching out for a "Silver lining" as it were.
Coz who could be too annoyed at accidental sour bubble crosses???
But I aint sure, so ill have to grow a few of each lot of beans, labeled from whaich plant spawned them, so i can see if the resulting plants look like the plant they came off, of have some SB in there. Does any1 think its a hopeless cause and i wont be able to tell???? if so p[lease speak up. all advice will be listened to, whether i follow it is another matter, lol, but i still wanna make an informed decision, lol.
So now, I humbly request that u all cross ur fingers for me not to discover any hermie flowers when i chop today, to de-bunk the SB pollen theory, or i might just have a nervous breakdown,
Sorry, I should have been more specific, The Kush X skunk, and the phoenix are 77 days(11 weeks) into flower, and the sour bubbles are at 7 weeks, which is fine. I would have taken the phoenix longer, but i want all the affected plants doewn now. There is a Sour bubble, a towleys treasure, and Cheese, which havent been in long, just starting to bud, i doubt if they were affected as the Sour bubble was dead a month agao. Unless of course it was hermie caused.
I aint got any bubble bags, I make ouil tho, but Justs coz weed is seeded it dont mean its not worth smoking. The sour bubble, i took a test bud the other day, and i can say with honesty, it is the strongest in m garden, even seeded.
As I sais before, the big kush and the phoenix next to the wall that seperates the veg room from the flower room are the worst affected with the phoenix being the very worst i think but not sure yet. Then as you get further to the other end it is not as bad, just a few, like the 2 kush clones at the opther end arent a tenth as bad as their big momma flowering at the other end.
I'll be taking mine down in about 2 weeks . A majority of the plant looks to be finishing well, and a lot of the nugs are so tight and when squeezed just lets off a nice smell . Each cola looks like they are going to produce a fine amount of nugs. I am only flowering under 240w of fluoros, and in a 1 gallon jug. The plant is showing no sign of yellowing leaves. I have been flushing for a few days now. A definite keeper in my garden, the sample nugs I took some time back just wrecks me in three hits. So potent, must be from the 4 months of veg. Cannot wait to taste some nicely cured nugs. I think it may finish early because of the C99 in it. The stuff is so frosty, I am hoping it really swells up in the next couple of weeks. I have some pictures, just too lazy to post 'em because of this damn tooth ache. I'll post pics up before harvest, they are almost 2 weeks old now but I'll also post harvest shots. I thank JLP very kindly for his generosity. Keep it green.
You vegged them things for 4 months, I vegged a week, but don't have the space, I think I saw your grow or someones who was doing the scrog, thats going to be nice.
-The sample I snatched a couple days ago hit me just the way I like it (although just as a breeze as it still was quite fresh when I tested it). Those two sticks I toked were dried for 48 hours then ground and left to breathe for half an hour before I rolled it in a spliff.
It actually tasted fresh, but no green and chlorophylle in this smok. (It has hardly received any nutes but wormcastings/bio-compost and some Top-Max for the last 4-5 weeks. And the fruity spice flavour thats it smells of is there too, but not to distinct. (It smelled alot sweeter after drying though.)
...anyway, this test toke motivated me to go get the microscope and check for maturity...
What do I see? Phoenix is almost done. At least the lower 1/2 of the buds are sprinkled with cloudy trichomes. Extreme crystal density on this girl I must say. They're tiny, but oh so many.
I think they can be lefty for a little longer and have the last budgrowth fattening up a little, but I'm relly not sure. (Any experienced Ph#1 gardeners have an ide of the excact harvesting window on the neville pheno? She was sexed at October the 10th, no major issues, but a little rootbound in midflowering.)
My Phoenix is almost done it seems. At least the lower 2/5 of the buds are sprinkled with cloudy trichomes. Extreme crystal density on this girl I must say. They're tiny, but oh so many.
Quick update. The clones took just fine. Here's the 1st pic, 4 of them survived, the mother complete toast.
Next pic is 6 days after revegging They're loving it! I've since topped the tallest two and attempted to root them which is also going well. So, I lost the mom but gained 6 more, LOL. Someday I hope to smoke some!
Thanks again for the beans and for the help J! Will let cha know how it goes!
Here are 2 girls, one showing some wider leaves and one very sativaish. These are at 30 days of 12/12.
Update: found a single male flower on the plant in the last pic. With another 60 days at least to go, this doesn't look good. Could be the butter pile for this one.
