THE ORIGINS OF PSYCHIATRIC DISORDERS AS WE KNOW THEM TODAY

T

Truthman

I think diet and balance of nutrients play a part BUT when the film goes into the family or household being a major part in schizophrenia, I believe it because I grew up around people who's motives seemed nice but had a hidden agenda and if you keep giving them your heart, you will go down a negative road due to them not giving their heart back to you.

Anyway, here the bbc documentary:

Also, something showing how nutrients in food playing a big part in physical traits as well as attitude:

Truthman... I know you are pretty into the material realm of health. But have you looked into the spiritual and emotional realms? I just don't think everything lies in the nutrition (material)...

Yes, in fact I was a spiritual person before I even thought about physical things such as nutrition. It was when I put everything together and realized that they are one and the same just expressed differently.

What I call spiritual is the power of will not emotions. Emotions are merely reactions to what you have learned throughout your years and on a physical level, flood of chemicals in the body that are out of order to each other in ratio(anxiety, paranoia, negative feelings) or a flood of chemicals in order(pleasure), as well as weak nerves. This is where the meaning of "you are getting on my nerves" stem from. Its one of the reasons why some people have a higher threshold of pain than others.

The will is the part that controls EVERYTHING but you have to exercise it just like your emotions and your rational part of you. This is all meditation is because in order to be quiet and block out noise and thoughts, you have to control the will to make the the physical move and do what you want.

The problem with most people is that they forget they are still physical beings and don't provide the body with what's needed to make this happen without much difficulty. Why do you think cannabis is known to aid in this process throughout the years?. It's because cannabis helps the body keeps everything in perfect balance, provided you give it the right amount of nutrients, which means a quicker response from the body when the will wants something done.

Would you exercise without eating and expect a positive result?. I think not. It's the same with meditation and activation of the will or spiritual part of you that makes the body do what "you" want.

An example is someone wanting to get an erection when it's time for sex, which is the will at work, BUT the body isn't listening because the energy it needs come from physical things such proper blood flow and chemicals made inside the body and from food but if you are lacking in a few of these things, no matter how much you force your will to make an erection happen, it won't if everything isn't in place in the system.

Basically the will(spiritual) is the spark to get the car moving(physical body).

Endocannabinoid System May Play Role In Maintaining Body's Homeostasis

October 20, 2005 - Colorado Springs, CO, USA

Colorado Springs, CO: The endocannabinoid system appears to play a major role in maintaining homeostasis (metabolic equilibrium) in humans and other living organisms, according to a review published in the September issue of the Harm Reduction Journal. Endocannabinoids are chemicals produced naturally in humans and animals that bind to the same receptors as do plant-derived cannabinoids such as THC.

"Endocannabinoids protect [living organisms] by fine-tuning and regulating dynamic biochemical steady states within the ranges required for healthy biological function, [and...] counteract[ing] biochemical imbalances that are characteristic of numerous damaged or diseased states, in particular those associated with aging," according to the review.

Biological functions regulated by endocannabinoids include appetite, body temperature, blood pressure, reproductive activity, learning capacity, and motor coordination.

A separate study published in the current issue of the Harm Reduction Journal speculates that cannabis smoke may be less carcinogenic than tobacco smoke because cannabinoids possess anti-cancer properties.

An epidemiological review published this past summer in the journal Alcohol concluded that the moderate use of cannabis is not associated with an increased risk of tobacco-related cancers, such as lung or colorectal cancer. A 1999 review by the National Academy of Sciences Institute of Medicine found "no conclusive evidence that marijuana causes cancer in humans, including cancers usually related to tobacco use."

I sense that personally, I won't be ready to fully understand/digest what your saying...for at least some time. But I'll bookmark this and come back to it again when i'm ready for it.
