The easiest and safest for a first timer, requiring the least amount of equipment would ostensibly be Quick Wash Ethanol (QWET). You can use it for all of the above but it won't be as rich in entourage terpenes as a BHO.

Got any good ideas what to use this for? It is a tincture I made from VG for my SIL when he was not able to smoke any longer towards the end of his cancer fight. He put it in his drinks all day and said it helped him but I don’t know if he was just being kind. I do know that it was made with flowers only, no scraps as I wanted the best I could provide for him. I’ve tried it under the tongue like I use my alcohol tincture but believe it or not I prefer the burning to that sweet tastes the VG does to it. There’s about 3/4 C of it. It’s thick, and not clear like my alcohol tincture maybe because of the fridge and it’s been in that jar for over a year now… any ideas how to get it outta my fridge and maybe get something out of it? Can I bake with it? Maybe make some kind of Christmas edibles? I made it in the magic butter machine.

A bright full moon does not seem to bother plants in the fall. I've had a light leak that caused revegging but it was not a minor amount of light. I've screwed up my timer or my lighting in some way and thought for sure it was going to cause problems but it never did. Not saying that I would be careless with lighting just that it didn't cause the problems I thought it might.

If I remember right Boo had some issues with lighting a while back. I wonder how that turned out.
I know dogzter has mentioned a light leaky tent.

In 2010 when I applied for my personal production license, I didn't know if the police would show up or what.
I got rid of everything cannabis related, accept for a pipe a friend from Oregon carved me.
I gave away all my collected literature, many of the books you see on Ebay today for hefty dollars, growing books, hash books, publications and quarterlies. All my photos and seeds I gave away.
Nobody ever showed up.
Health Canada did have me photograph my home from the outside and the inside.

I'm new to the tent thing, I always had 2 rooms to grow in.

1st time I grew in a tent I allowed the plants to be exposed to ambient light during the dark period when they were in veg. I had Ace's Panama and Panama Haze growing.

3, weeks in to flower and again at 5 and 9 weeks I forgot to zip the tent for as long as an hour during the dark period. It never seemed to make a difference, no hermies or prolonged flowering times.

Your milage may vary and my tent growing experience equals exactly 1 grow, so take it for what it's worth.

That's a long time growing,I often wonder how much small light leaks effect the grow indoors,outside I have a yard light pretty close and they still finish and don't intersex. Did you preserve any old strains through the years?

Yeah I've wondered about that too because during a full moon the moon can get pretty bright. If I had to make a quess i would say the most likely reason is that having spent it's life outdoors and growing thru the slow natural change of light to dark due to the changing daylight, combined with having grown thru several full moons along the way the plants are less stressed by a little light in the dark period compared to a plant grown in an indoor evironment having known 18/6 light/dark until one day somebody turned the light to 12/12 light/dark in an instant.

Some varietals have a tendency to herm, some brought on by light leaks, nutritional reasons, stress in general, breeding, biggest culprit is man.
The landraces are more subject to herm unless they've been worked

I’m supposed to register my rc planes and use a remote identification device. Unless I fly at an approved field. It’s completely worthless. Line of sight flyers legally are supposed to stay under 400 feet AGL. Ever fly a five foot space plane higher than 400? You can’t even see it well enough to fly it.
All these rules were made because people are taking a drone and sending it up to 10k feet for videos. F Uncle Sam is what I say. I’ll fly what I want, when and where I want.

Boo it's a Grand National? Or Regal? I don't know Buick too well. I like the 1971 Stage 1 Buick GS though. I would like an 83 or 84 Hurst Olds with the lightning rods. Hey boo you know you can install lighting rods in any Cutlass?

Our light schedules may contribute to hermies because the duration is so unatural,not too many places have straight sunlight for 18 hours let alone 24 which some use.

speaking of presses, I found my heat plates next to my press...found some 20 micron bags as well...will they work for flowers or are they kief bags...I need info as well...at that temp, how long, and how much pressure...I'd really like to squeeze some live rosin...

That will work like a champ for flower or kieff.
I set mine at 190 on both plates gently start the press for the first minute slowly adding pressure until it starts to juice.
Then I rank it up to pressure and let it run adding pressure as the oils leave the bag slowly
Stop when the flow stops is best advice.
Do you nave a gauge on your press?

That is max pressure for me on 4" x 7" plates........doesn't take much.

I tumble it to separate the trichs from the plant material and the heat and pressure do the rest.
My favorite concentrates come off a press,fuck solvents.
