Well spoken, @oldmaninbc. @HempKat, I can understand your present POV... sometimes shit gets piled on your plate instead of on the barn floor. It can truly suck balls.Hempkat, I'm sorry to hear of your frustration with life. Holidays always seem to magnify these emotional times. Please try not to let yourself be consumed by negativity. I deal with my own shortcomings in life and try to avoid being overwhelmed, it's not always easy but it is a necessity to keep your spirit from being eroded by darkness. I hope you can find something for even the smallest point of light in the darkness can give us a new direction.
Politicians say a lot of things but they don't always do what they say. Time will tell, if they move forward with all their spoken words. Should their base start turn against them for whatever reason it can also alter their agenda. I truly hope your worst fears do not come true.
Christmas is fast approaching it is going to be an emotional time for many people, you are leaving one festive holiday for another extended one.
I wish there was something I could do for you but words of encouragement are the best I have.
One thing I've discovered how the human condition is different from animobiles is that us humans often think the present is gonna represent the future. It can, and does for some. But if you look around your own mental back yard, you will discover times that you were laughing and having fun not too long after a real problem hit you.
Laying low with armed angry people all around you, every single one of whom is absolutely, totally intent of not letting you live out the next
And yet, some time later, you are happy, and actually laughing so hard you are spotting.
One of my heroes, War Correspondent Ernie Pyle, observed sojers coming back from the front lines in shock and quiet misery. He wrote: "The human spirit is like a cork; give it a short time to recover, and it is right back on top."
