I just feed every other day. For some reason when I go 3 days without watering it seems they drink everything in the res and the plants burn themselves.
Is this common?
i feed every two days and my plants trive! i just followed the directions at the start of this thread. just got two more clones in the hempy buckets lastnit and will feed every day until the main taproot hits the res. and i notice it growing then i go to every two-three days.I've not heard of this....if you have a meter or access to one, perhaps you could see what the levels are of your nutrients in the runoff? Second, what happens to your plants when you feed a little every day?

Silly question here....but I'd like to learn...how do you know when your taproot has hit the res? I just kind of guess that after about two weeks the roots are down in the res and then I can reduce the frequency of feedings.

Hey guys, got a quick question for you all. I got some hempy buckets goin. Some seedlings and some a few weeks into veg about to be flipped to flower.
the problem is that ive been using GH 3part. but im out of it after this last feeding. I got christmas and kiddos B-Day. With funds tied up I really need to put off on buyin some more nutes until after the next pay check.
My question is, how long can they survive on only water? Im a dirt guy and with dirt the nutes last awhile longer than in hydro. So im not sure if they can last two weeks without a proper feeding. thanks ahead for any and all input.
I was planning to use a 22"x22"x6" tub for a micro grow. I have been told this should work fine. Because of the lower depth what would be a good place to put the hole? Should it still be 2" from the bottom or closer to 1"?
Two questions I have that I am still confused with after reading this entire thread and multiple other hempey theads. Just so much conflicted info provided.
1) When the plants are in veg and you are watering everday, do you also feed along with the daily waterings? If not, can you provide when you feed? Is it once a week? Once every 2 or 3 or 4 days? I understand that you water everyday during veg, but I am confused about the nute feed schedule. I am talking about using GH Flora micro and bloom.
2)Same question with flowering. Now you are watering every two or three days as needed, do you feed the nutes with each watering or do you stagger the feeding to every other watering?
3) Tap water use for Hempey's. Is is ok to just let tap water sit 24 hours and then check the ph of the water and adjust accordingly before you water? Also when using GH Flora it is my understanding that these products adjust the ph of the water automatically, so that when you ad your nutes to the water the ph adustment is made automatically? So, when watering with nutes, no need to test ph? But when watering straight tap water that has sat for twenty four hours in an open container you still must test and adjust the ph prior to adding to the bucket?
I have seen so much confilicting info on these questions and would like to get some detailed and correct answers thanks.
3)
1) feed everytime with hempy. i flush on occasion to avoid buildup, but that's like once every 3-4 weeks. I used FF but it should be the same for all nute lines (make sure u are using HYDRO nutes)
2) same as #1
3) I use tap water, lots of people use tap water. it's easier to use RO water especially with Lucas formula, but tap water works just fine unless it's off the charts (600+ppm, 8.5+pH). i'm not sure what your idea is behind letting it sit for 24 hrs? if you are trying to de-chlorinate, that won't work, you have to aerate if you want to do that (throw an airstone in it). i can't vouch for GH nutes, but what is the harm with testing/adjusting the pH both times? either way i shoot for 5.8-6.0 pH for feeding OR flushing.
hope that helps, goodluck, sg
