Wondering if we have any Volta fans here? I'm sure we must so with that in mind was wondering if anyone is planning on hitting up any of the socal shows coming up?
I noticed some of the fanclub members were organizing a smokeout for the Santa Cruz show and it made me think of ICmag. I personally am not gonna be able to make that show but if any of you would like to check it out I believe the event did not sell out but now you have to buy tickets at the window (check http://www.catalystclub.com/ to confirm). It is this Friday(30th).
I'm gonna be chilling in line April 3rd at the Orpheum and if their's gonna be any IC peeps there I'd love to meet ya Oh, and if you went to the Ventura show tonight tell me how that was!
For those who couldn't make any of the shows, feel free to show your appreciation of TMV here!
For those who don't know wtf I am talking about, from wikipedia: The Mars Volta is an American rock group founded by Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez formerly of At The Drive-In. They are generally considered progressive rock, with jazz, punk and Latin influences. They are known for their wild, energetic, and highly improvised live shows, cryptic lyrics, and use of ambient music.
Getting stoned and listening to one of their albums is a great way to waste some time  Do yourself a favor and at least try out some of their music.
