A couple of years ago when my dogs were just puppies, I walked them all at once. I walked them from Florida to Boston and back and told them they were done. If they live to be 100 I will never have to walk them again.....

NEVER gonna make a difference imo,

walks are like talks, once they're done.......
THEY ARE DONE, issue forgotten, case closed.

It WILL NOT raise awareness... we WON'T be wondering day by day how the walk is going, it will make front page news along the way ONLY if someone is killed while participating.

But without a doubt someone will be left holding a pot full of $$$$$$$ for everyones efforts, what happens to that cash is anyones guess. Wait six months or a year, or five yrs even and then ask all the penguins you can find if things are getting any better.......

NOT!

I strongly disagree-- When you have these kind of events, of course it is to raise Public Awareness-- But more than that, it makes the participants feel "Part of"...so they will be inclined to carry the message out in other areas/directions-- Ain't nothin' wrong with a Pep-Rally--

walk had their place when media coverage wasnt in the pocket of the men and agenda they contest...

protests were valuable activities in years gone past... because they had the ability to grow exponentially... and to overwhelm governance and business profits of their own accord...

the fat cats and the talking heads were scared of them...

their not scared anymore...
because they are SUCH one dimensional actors...

that their advisors tell em "dont worry about it" and they dont...

therefore the policy changes that formerly came WITH protests which rose out of walks and other public displays of issue...

never occur anymore...

so in terms of progress...
its like taking your model A out for a spin...
