The leaves in my yard have large black spots, can this effect my grow?

I have seen quite a few leaves on the ground in my yard that have large black dots on them. The black dots are about the size of a coin, like a penney, or dime. I havn't seen any on any trees, just on leaves that have fallen to the ground. Is this a disease?

I will have a small grow inside the house, could this potentially harm my crop? Thank you

Well I think i might just be a little paranoid because I went on a short walk and about 2 blocks away I found the same leaves on the ground with the big black dots. Still not sure what they are but I figure it must be common if im not the only house with em.

If anyone has any input feel free to chime in, even if it's to call me paranoid!

Disease on plants is everywhere.

In general, a fungus, bacteria, etc... disease on one plant may not attack another type of plant even close by. It only attacks plants in that genus or family. It's host specific. So the disease on trees outside probably don't like mj.

Cannabis is attacked by many fungus. You should be wary of waterlogged soils especially on seedlinigs and too high a humidity especially during flowering. Good air circulation is always wise. Don't however blast the plants with air. :bashhead:

Good luck!

Just the guy I was looking for, thank you.

That seems very logical. I have a dehumidifier for whenever I get around to starting my grow and flowering. I also plan on getting a sulfur burner, and disease control spray.

I doubt you will need a sulfur burner or disease spray. The dehumidifier should be perfect. Keep seedlings on the dry side and have good ventilation/air circulation. In hydroponic situations, add 1 teaspoon 3% hydrogen peroxide from the drug store per gallon of water daily or 2 teaspoons a couple of times a week. In soil grows, 70's Pothead adds 2 teaspoons per gallon of water. He said he got that rate from Overgrow.
