This is day one, I have place ten seeds from The Joint Doctor DIESEL RYDER regular seeds, so a few males are expected. The Plan is to collect the pollen and pollenate one of the female plants from this grow just to have some regular male/female seeds from this grow. The seeds were placed in a Germination Kit from Nirvana Seed Shop 5 to 7 dollars, the kit is this placed a Propagator Pro from Nirvana Seed Shop 15 - 18 dollars but wow this little gadget is nice come with it's own LED light system and batteries. Fail proof unless your just to high to do anything right LOL. Once the seeds pop and are 2 inches tall i will be transferring them to 7 gallon cloth pots with will be in a 5 X 5 grow tent with two 180w LED lights. My choice of dirt for this grow is Jungle Growth Organic Professional, I will be using canna fertilizer. pics!

More info on the germination kit

1. 10 spongepots

The spongepots are a secure germination environment containing sphagnum (peat moss) harvested from selected peat bogs. Agricultural lime and a special fertiliser with a low ammonium content have been added to the peat to stimulate growth.

2.Bacto powder

Bacto is a mixture of various fungi and bacteria with added Trichoderma to protect your seeds from harmful outsideinfluences. This highly concentrated blend gives a boost of beneficial micro-organisms to any type of soil.

The majority of fungi and bacterial ives in soil. Bacto has been designed specifically to stimulate the soil life that creates the best environment for your seeds to take root. Bacto soil improvement bacteria free up phosphates, bind nitrogen and recycle minerals from organic waste material. Selected strains of streptomyces bacteria and Trichoderma fungi are stimulated by a natural catalyst called myconate.

Combined, the spongepots and Bacto will ensure an optimal germination of your precious cannabis seeds.

Info on the Propagator pro

The Propagator Pro comes complete with:

in-built LED lighting incl. batteries
bag of perlite
thermometer strip


The Propagator Pro is fully equipped with a thermometer, a bag of perlite, and an in-built set of LED lights (batteries included) to coax those tiny seedlings out and up towards the sky! This propagator is a perfect match for our Germination Kit. Simply cover the bottom of the Propagator with the perlite (included), mix water with the Bacto from the Germination Kit, pour about 25 ml over the perlite, and it will retain and dispense moisture while your seeds sprout. The roots will be able to suck up the Bacto-enriched water through the holes in the bottom of the Kit. You can use the rest of the Bacto mix to sprinkle on the actual spongepots, but make sure you never thoroughly wet them, just moisten slightly!

The Propagator Pro is ideally suited towards larger growing operations, where germination conditions need to be perfectly regulated. But this propagator is equally useful for beginning growers. Don’t stress about risking your precious cannabis seeds – just trust Propagator Pro to provide the perfect environment for seed germination.

Generally, seeds will take between 1-6 days to germinate. Remove the seedlings from the Propagator Pro as soon as the seedleaves have fully emerged. This prevents root entanglement at the bottom. You can also use the Propagator as a protective nursery for starting clones and vulnerable seedlings. Make sure you do not leave in the germinated seeds for too long after they’ve sprouted to prevent the roots getting tangled up!

The Propagator Pro measures approx. 5 x 4 x 5 inches (l x w x h; that’s 13 x 10 x 13 centimetres) and will keep your germinating seeds, emerging taproots or growing seedlings safe and healthy. It is shipped in a non-descript flat box with an instruction sheet included.

I have a couple packs from the doctor, haven't grown either out yet. be fun to watch your grow.

those propagators are cool but made my pals seedlings stretchy, but he tends to keep temps too high so not sure if it was heat or light.

Well out of 10 Diesel Ryder beans 6 did what it had to do. I have transplanted them to a larger but small pot I did place three more feminized seeds in the Propagator 1 Black Jack Automatic by Sweet Seeds and two La Diva Automatic by Delicious Seeds got my fingers crossed if they do not germinate it's back to the paper towel method. Anyway the plan is to use colloidal silver on the Black Jack and the 1 of the La Diva put them both in a second grow tent so they can pollenate each other. Both are fast bloomers from seed to harvest the La Diva is done in 7 weeks and the Black Jack from seed to harvest in 9. Also still in the plan is if I should get a male out of the 6 Diesel Ryder I will gather pollen from the plant and paint the pollen on certain bud sites on 1 of the female Ryders.

This is day 12 for the Diesel Ryders and the two La Divas did pop but it was a no show for the black jack. I placed the two La Divas in with the other 6 diesel. Update pic will be posted soon really not much to see right now.
