some time a heart is bigger then the known world around us .. our brain dance with the idea of the finest quality and no matter what stand in our way we are the breeders of our future .. no cups . no winners,no fame or profit can pay us for the love of growing the finest cannabis hidden deep with in our own dreams ...
this post will look at two things in cohesion that work as one in a room where my very best friends grow ...
the Indoor windrow ..I saw this idea when I was looking at a old farm one day long ago ...the idea stuck in my head and I told my self some day I got to try that .. today is that some day ..
the idea started really simple . give a row space for wind to move threw the grow with out restriction, it would have to fill some basic requirements as well as design elements ..
1. open a path for the wind to move in a row threw the center of the grow with out degrading the over all environment .
2. the row would have to not limit the size or shape of the plants .
3.the row would have to work in close relationship to the lights and the area they cast over with respect to the plants and the depth of penetration of the light .
4.the effects on the over all grow would have to let plants be moved ,watered, trimmed ,and harvested ...
5. if the windrow was stationary the Mylar covered walls would have to come to the plants ...
this is my design and it is always a work in progress...
first off having a solid base for the plants .. now I ask my self . how high and why .. it had to left the plants and open a row between them so I base the width of the row space by the size of the grow bags I use . then I judge how high the plants should be in side the windrow ...now this left some interesting problems . one the depth of the light penetration would set the height of the plant rows ..so now I had a over all idea of what the base would look like in theory ..using pressure treated wood that will take this kind of environment I measured the size of the circle of plants and added 1/2 foot to the over all length . now I judge the space for the air flow and gave just enough room for me to fit between it for watering ...and great pictures looking down the wind row ...
next I constructed the base .. two long 2 by 6 and two sizes of arc framing to give a larger space for plant development .. so the two base rest are 2 inches higher on the end then they are in the front of the grow ..
now the plant bags should set solid on the blank surfaces
the height of the base should be build in respect to the heat from your light ,
now would this system dose is takes your med size plants and puts them on the front side of the windrow and the smallest plants and puts them on the end of the base .. under the 1000 HPS . above the front of the windrow is a 600 HPS ..
now the logic is simple .. the two sizes of lights will help the best development of all the plants over all . not just the biggest or smallest .
now after you put the small plants on the end and the med size plants on the front . judge two sizes of the med size plants . the smaller of those will be placed on the blank base on the sides of the windrow up the center of the grow ...
this lets you put your bigger plants standing on the floor around the end where the 1000 HPS light can reach them easy .now on the front you can take the larger med size plants and start to fill in around the windrow up both sides of the structure .. now don't worry yet about the plants height . your going to set those plants on bags of dirt . I used the bags I took the males out of . this worked great .. the bags are 5 gallon and a 5 gallon bag can set on them and are fairly solid ,, so what you have now is a row of plants setting on both blanks of the base and another two rows of plants ,one on each side of of those ones on the blanks .. two rows of plants on each side of the windrow ...
then you can adjust the height of the out side rows ...
your wind row should look some what like this ...
