The future of non gmo plant breeding?

Here's a link to a great article you guys might find interesting. Check out the mention of sentinel corn (a non gmo corn variety that turns bright red when it needs water thus eliminating guesswork and seriously lessening water consumption among farmers). This stuff is also unpattentable also which makes it even better.

I think over on OG. Someone had posted a lot of links to genetic modification of plants. They had a tobacco plant that produced THC, one that glowed in the dark with jelly fish genetics or something like that. What I want to know is when they will perfect the 3 assed chimpanzees.

Good Dr. Mephisto reference JGG. "It is of no use to me it only has one ass"

But these guys are using existing genes in the corn gene pool and using normal breeding methods but genetically screening their seeds.
