The Fridge Micro Grow

Started my first micro grow. So far I've had a couple speed bumps but it seems were back on track.

Here is the build thread
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=327712

I have 2 Blackberry Kush growing currently in 1 gallon smart pots in Fox Farms Light Warrior seed starter. I am using the complete Master 5ML Roots Organics kit from Aurora with Bio Root added in.

Started with a simple mix from a friend because I had nothing but tap water. There was Bio root, Micro, and Grow I believe.

Originally ran into issues of over watering simply because the soil couldnt dry out. The LED lights run much cooler than traditional lights. less than half of the energy a normal light would expend in just heat. This is why I am using Light warrior. So far it is working very well. Here is where I am at right now. Basically 9 days after transplanting.

This is the full feeding schedule I will be following. At this time I have added a bit of the fertilizer to the water to allow the plants to be introduced and not shocked. 1/8 tsp oregonismxl 1/8 tsp uprising foundation and 1/8 tsp uprising grow.

I have the album public if anyone wishes to see the stages of growth and will add more over time as well as in the thread.

going well

Here's the most recent pic. Had to tie branches down.

Able to take more and more water now. About half a solo cup each last time.

Looking good at day 10, how many days since it first broke soil?

By the looks of how that screen is filling up, can't be long till flip now!

So picked up the clones on may 2nd. Clipped them at the 3rd node. Had issues with over watering and nitrogen shock. The soil held water too well from the shop and the LED light wasn't drying it out. So I transplanted into the light warrior on the 14th and since then they have just been growing. Have pinched nodes twice so it's branched out a bunch. Hoping to fill the canopy if I could do 1gram/watt I'll be extatic, but that may be asking a lot for a first try.

Yeah definitely seems to be appreciating the drainage, even .5 gpw would be huge for the size of cab and amount of light you're running.

It's probably better to be conservative for a first grow until you know how much stretch to expect after flip, itll turn into a jungle damn fast! I've got my next plant in veg so tied down I've started referring to it as 50 Shades

Filling in nicely. Another wee or so and hopefully be able to fill the grid with nodes, that's 48 slots to fill. Stay tuned to see if this noob can make it happen.:groupwave::headbange:jump:

Looking real happy! I saw in the build thread that you lowered the LED to about 3" above canopy, where are you hoping to end up after stretch?

Well i dont have much to go on besides basic genetics research online. Store didnt know anything, she was just a bud tender. I have anticipated a 2 to 3 times length stretch. The less the better for how many tops im trying for. We will see fairly soon. Just raised the light so they can stretch a bit and be trained under the net until the canopy is full.

Time to kick the tires and light the fires!

Looking happy and healthy, and its always exciting watching the transformation over time.

BTW should learn how to rotate the pictures before uploading to prevent some of us from having left hand kinked necks lol.

They are all taken normal. The website uploads them sideways for some reason. Everywhere else shows them fine until uploaded..........if I'm missing something related to ICMAG feel free to enlighten me.
