The Four Wheeled / Quad Thread

G

Guest

We've seen the two wheeled thread and the "coolest jacket ever" thread....

Now how about us with those four wheeled beasts?? Whether you like sinkin your beast in the mud or sliding the ass out at sixty, roostin your buddys....SHOW US THOSE QUADS ! !

Here's my main biatch: The Rappy 700r (pic not my bike)

Not much done to it: pipe, intake, computer, 15t sprocket, new tires ect...
Hasn't been beat yet.....I love her.

Riding is so fun.... i work all week just to ride her on the weekend.

So lets see them quads from all over.....and how you use them. Aren't four wheels just BETTER?? :sasmokin:

I suppose it's related, as they're both 4x4

I have a 1988 Jeep Wrangler, 350 V8, 3" TrailMaster lift, ProComp Shocks, 33" BF Goodrich A/Ts, and lotsa misc. other shit. She's for sale, though. Just bought me a 2001 Jeep Cherokee, which is also 4x4 but I don't really plan on doing a whole lot with it.

If you get it dirtier than a tijuana donkey "handler" then you fit right in.....Dirt Don't Hurt!!

The Cherokee is my get-around. The 4x4 is not sooo bad but it it just doesn't compare to the pull on my Wrangler. Then again the Wrangler was built for 4wd, and with the V8 implant she ain't no slouch. She's been through everything. Trees, mud, water, rocks, anything.

Them polaris's arent too bad.....i've ridden with a polaris 400 two stroke that could scream. I keep mine out of the deep muck but i love to see them big 4x4's get stuck in the mud......looks like fun

haha in the dunes i might getcha on the new fuel injected 700r, only reason i saw this is cuz ive had an '03 banshee with toomey t6 pipes, jetted, k&n, port and polish, and a coolhead with bigger domes. oh and i only run race fuel.

that bike is no good though if you wanna go trail riding or just cruise. ive been thinking about getting a fourstroke maybe a yfz450 they are my closest competition out in the dunes.

who here uses a trike? illegal in alot of countrys but they are incredible fast and hardly ever break. my friend has crashed his at 40 mph and it just bent the front abit and still runs fine. i have seen videos of the easily beating quads.

98 banshee bored.20 over, weisco piston kit, toomey pipes, 38 mm jetted kleihn carbs, and k&n filters. 18" holeshots in the rear and fast trekkers up front.

I dont have any problem smokin most four strokes in third gear!!!

 I'd have to say my favorite quad out right is the Yamaha 700R: 4-stroke = lower maintence(no gas/oil to mix), fuel injected, electric start, 5-speed w/reverse & adustable piggyback shocks (good for my heavy/fat ass). No its not as fast as souped-up 2-strokes, nevertheless i think its the best allround big-motor quad designed for the widest range of riding enviroments, from tight woods to dunes to desert riding to laidback/chillin/relaxed crusin. :smoker:

I've run a few banshee's and they scream......when there running....don't get me wrong.....but they seem to be a little light weight to put that power down to the ground. I haven't run one on the road, but i've got a feeling id be sniffing dust and burning oil out a screaming tail pipe. In the mud and sand around here they get walked all over.....maybe its the itp gncc's, they freakin HOOK.

The four strokes are great.....especially the fuel injection. Its puts the torque out. I mainly ride sand pits and fast trails so im glad ive got the four stroke. My only complaint with the bike is it sits a little high....but thats an easy fix. I cheaped out and got the "regular" model with the non adjustable front shocks so im lookin out for a set of yfz piggybacks......or i might just splurge and get me a set of elkas. Man i spent about seven on it and i could drop seven more on it without blinking.

Got my ass handed to me today......by a banshee. This one was running good!! He actually had good rubber on the back.....bored out with all the goodies, extended swing arm. Got me by a few lengths....

Anybody else ride this weekend??

4 strokes arent better...just easier, more reliable. Youll be hard pressed in a few years to be able to go out and purchase a new two stroke. I like getting on mine and riding...not rebuilding it every three months.

Nobody Rides

Nobody Rides

 I hear ya SSW, their in the middle of changing the ATV laws around here so they've closed down most of the public riding areas leaving few places to ride. The state along with the national forest "are building x-amount of trails for ATV & X-amount of trails for 2 wheel motorcycles", so we'll see how it all works out.

LOL.......It's illegal most everywhere around here but they have to catch me to get me in trouble. (SonshineWurship doesn't reccomend or condone running from the police heh)

They collect all this damn money for registering offroad vehicles in Florida and haven't put one dame place for us to ride....go figure??

I've got a 2005 Honda 450R. I always swore that I would never buy a 4-stroke but I really like the engine it's got. Sad part is its probably only got less than 50hrs on it. I never have a chance to get it out.

I've also got a '89 Jeep Wrangler. Its only got the 2.5l in it but it will go pretty much anywhere. I've got a 350 with a 4bolt main i'm thinking about dropping in it. If I'm going to do that though I would really rather have a old CJ to drop it in.
